Steam Projects Team Leader
Your role
Your mission as Steam Projects Team Leader will be to aid the execution of sound technical steam solutions across multiple industry sectors – with focus on:
- Identifying customer requirements & tailoring bespoke solutions to fit that criteria.
- Ensure customer satisfaction with sound service & breakdown strategies.
The Steam projects team leader will be working with the project team to deliver rental boiler packages across UK & Ireland. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of project execution from initial site survey, all the way through to aftercare.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys, when required to ascertain technical requirements of any potential rental solution.
- Contribute to the design phase of the project.
- Steam pipework
- Boiler feed water pipework
- Selection of suitable boilers
- Manage & arrange the commissioning activities prior to customer handover.
- Work alongside and liaise with third party companies in the delivery and support of projects.
- Ensure that all equipment complies with PSSR regulations.
- Maintain regular customer contact to establish requirements and ensure a high standard of customer service is delivered at all times.
- Maintain the spares management system.
- Provide technical support to the sales and service team during the tendering phase.
- Manage the team of steam field engineers.
- To work alongside and collaborate with other Atlas Copco business colleagues to effectively promote Atlas Copco products and services.
To succeed, you will need
- Previous project and commissioning engineering experience, preferably relative to steam boilers
- Experience with Weishaupt & Driezler burners would be advantageous.
- Strong HSE track record.
- Experience with pipework, hose work & associated ancillaries.
- Technical support relative to steam boilers.
- The ability to read P & ID as well as Electrical schematics.
Knowledge
Good technical & theoretical knowledge of steam boilers & subsequent sub-systems.
Knowledge of shell/tube steam boilers is crucial
Good report writing skills and troubleshooting / fault finding.
Broad engineering knowledge across a number of subject matters.
Knowledge of PSSR2000 & PED statutes.
An understanding of piping standards.
Good IT skills and competences. Experienced user of the Office 365 suite. AutoCAD experience would be beneficial
Educational requirements
Possess a recognised qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
BOAS Cat 2 & IGAS 3 would be advantageous.

This role is fully remote with regular travel.
