Maintenance Assistant/Pipeline Technician
Your role
As a Maintenance Assistant/Pipeline Technician, your mission is to assist the pipeline inspections including terminal units, AVSU's and area alarms. You will support our hose strategy and service business as required.
You will
- Complete scheduled planned preventive inspection of terminal units and other pipeline equipment.
- Working unsupervised, using own initiative.
- Identification of additional works.
- Report writing.
- Updating asset information onto MyMedGas (MMG).
- Completing Medgas Scans.
- Assist service engineers with hose replacements and onsite maintenance works as required, lift and shift and cleaning plant.
- Responsible for company vehicle ensuring service dates are adhered to, as well as keeping the vehicle in a road worthy state.
- Upholding the professional image of the company and complying with all the relevant rules and regulations including the company health and safety and environmental policies.
- Stock control.

- Clean driving licence.
- 3–5 GCSEs at grades 9–4 (A*-C) including English and maths.
- Basic IT knowledge, emails, Microsoft office.
- A clean driving licence.
- Basic maintenance experience. Medical gas experience and knowledge of basic electrical principles are desirable.
- Presentable and articulate, with good communication skills.
- Some technical knowledge of mechanical products.
- Comfortable working in a hospital environment.
- Must have a can‑do attitude, with flexibility to work unsociable hours and travel away from home when required.
