Your new role will be

The Technical Sales Representative – High Pressure is responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business opportunities, and expanding market share throughout Ontario. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to customers by providing technical expertise, identifying application opportunities, and delivering high-value compressed gas solutions across multiple industrial sectors including general manufacturing, food & beverage, energy, mining, etc.  

This position reports to the Business Development Manager-High Pressure and Gas Generators.  

This position is based in the Greater Toronto Area, and the work schedule is 35 hours per week. 

 

This is an exciting opporunity where overnight travel will be required to meet customers and attend industry events within your territory, and occasional travel required to attend company events, training and sales meetings within Canada. 

 

Main responsibilities include: 

  • Maximize sales of the complete High Pressure product portfolio through proactive prospecting and account development activities throughout Ontario.  
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing customers.  
  • Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets for revenue, unit sales, profitability, and market share growth.  
  • Provide technical consultation and application support to customers, engineers, contractors, consultants, and end users.  
  • Develop and execute territory growth plans that increase market penetration and customer coverage.  
  • Coordinate activities with distributors and internal stakeholders to ensure exceptional customer support and project execution.  
  • Maintain a disciplined approach to customer follow-up, quotation management, and opportunity tracking.  
  • Gather and report market intelligence, including competitor activities, emerging technologies, customer trends, and new applications.  
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of customer interactions, visits, quotations, opportunities, and forecasts within the CRM system.  
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and product training sessions to maintain technical and market knowledge.  
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies related to health, safety, quality, sustainability, and environmental standards.  

To succeed, you will need

  • 3+ years of technical sales experience (industrial equipment, rotating equipment, compressors, gas generators or related industries)
  • Valid driver's license 
  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience
  • Strong fluency with CRM platforms and sales pipeline management
  • Experience in biogas, natural gas, mining, energy, metal, industrial gas or process industries
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation abilities
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented and highly organized
  • Strong team player mindset
  • Proven ability to create and close opportunities

In return, we offer

The expected compensation range for this position is $80,000.00 to $95,000.00. Final compensation may vary due to factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience. If your qualifications differ from lose listed above, the scope of work and final compensation may be different. This role is also eligible to a commission plan with an estimated annual on-target earnings of $30,000.00 depending on individual performance.
