Job Description

The Salesperson (M/F) will be part of the Business Line ‘General Industry’ (GI) and will report directly to the Iberia Sales Manager. They will be responsible for developing sales, achieving monthly targets, and defining forecasts in alignment with the GI Business Line Strategy. They will ensure full coverage of our customers and distributors in the Portugal and Northwest Spain area.

 

Mission

  • Support industrial customers' transformation to INDUSTRY 4.0 standards by supplying Smart Integrated Assembly tools and software solutions from Atlas Copco.
  • Develop business in Portugal and Northwest Spain (Galicia, Asturias, and León) by maintaining and developing the existing customer portfolio and prospecting new potential customers.
  • Collaborate with other departments (Sales Support, Marketing, Projects, Service, MVI) to maximize customer satisfaction and sales potential.
  • Take full responsibility for identifying new projects and business opportunities within the sales area and drive a strategic execution plan.
  • Report all activities (visits, quotations, planning, and forecasts) into a CRM (Sales Force) to interact with other departments and the manager.

  Direct Sales Channel

 

  • Manage a portfolio of direct accounts, including Key Accounts.
  • Map customer needs to determine a business development roadmap.
  • Promote the Smart Integrated Ecosystem, qualify, quote, and ensure the completion of complex sales offers based on hardware and software solutions.

Indirect Sales Channel

 

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of Distributors/Distribution specialists in line with the business development policy in the region.
  • Determine and execute a growth plan with distributors as per yearly goals.
  • Plan customer visits with Distributors to promote Atlas Copco’s product and solutions portfolio.
  • Conduct Distributor assessments and training.
  • Have regular visits and business review meetings.

   E-commerce

 

  • Promote the Atlas Copco e-commerce solution (Smart portal) to customers.
  • Suggest alternative EDI solutions to facilitate transactional sales with customers in cooperation with the Sales Support team.

Education

 

  • Technical background required; additional certification in sales and business development is a plus.
  • Preferably Industrial Engineering education or Technical Secondary degree.
  • Driver’s License.

Experience

  • Sales and management of Industrial Distributors.
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing industry, such as AERO, ASSEMBLY, OFFROAD.

Portuguese native required, fluent in Spanish and English
