As an Inside Sales Engineer in our Romania-based Sales Team, you will support a wide range of industries with Atlas Copco’s innovative compressed air solutions. Working closely with the local team, you’ll drive sales growth, strengthen market presence, and ensure outstanding customer engagement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customers to actively promote Atlas Copco’s products and solutions using digital interaction tools (virtual meetings, calls, chatbot).

  • Build strong, long-term relationships through clear communication, commitment, and interaction.

  • Manage pre-sales activities including documentation, compliance checks, digital interactions, and follow up on the sales funnel to ensure a high lead-to-order conversion rate.

  • Take ownership of business development for the product portfolio.

  • Maintain and optimize CRM (C4C) usage for leads and opportunity management.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Service, and Logistics to ensure seamless processes and successful outcomes.

  • Respond to customer inquiries and support marketing initiatives such as events and campaigns.

  • Address challenges effectively with strong communication and problem-solving skills, ensuring a smooth sales process.

  • Background in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline.

  • Strong commercial acumen with a keen interest in market and competitor dynamics.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Confidence working independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment.

  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a “can-do” attitude.

  • Experience in internal sales or customer service, ideally in a technical or service-related industry.

  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., C4C), digital platforms, and analytics tools to manage leads, build customer relationships, and support the sales process.
