National Operations Manager - Medical Service

Your role
Build & Lead India Service Operations (Foundation Phase)
• Support and build the end-to-end service model for India working along with the BLM MGS India including Service planning, field operation and dispatch, field execution, warranty, spares, admin, billing and KPIs
• Provide hands-on technical support while designing processes and transitioning to a scaled team structure
• Define and track core KPI’s: Response time, first-time fix rate, preventive maintenance completion, contract rate, parts forecasting and fill rate, warranty cycle time, utilization, efficiencies, NPS, revenue and margin.
• Leverage adoption of digital tools especially MyMedgas to enhance customer engagement, remote support, case visibility and contract management
• Ensure safe, compliant operations aligned to Medical Service and SHEQ expectations; lead toolbox talks and field safety routines.
• Lead toolbox meetings
Technical, Service and Operations Support
• Act as the escalation point.
• Support installation and start‑up technical aspects, guide distributor engineers and direct service technicians. You are an expert in troubleshooting and fault rectification.
• Establish a closed‑loop technical information flow (field → factory/CTS/QMS and back) to accelerate resolution and improve product quality.
• Plan and control daily workloads of service technicians; coordinate with CTS and Factory Technical Support.
• Institute and monitor a high-quality process for delivering and retrieving technical information flow from/to the field
Medical Service Process, Systems & Data Integrity
• Develop localized QMS‑aligned processes to uplift customer experience and product quality.
• Create and maintain installed base records; ensure spares availability in SAP based on install base and business targets.
• Maintain accurate service data (installations, cross‑border sales, work orders) in MyMedGas and related platforms.
• Create and maintain Medical service material master for India in SAP; ensure system hygiene across SAP, MyMedGas, MyQuest, CAQ, Business Portal.
Service Administration & Commercial Hygiene
• Secure purchase orders and verify customer Ts & Cs; manage service orders and invoicing in SAP and related systems.
• Track paperwork; expedite parts and vendor POs; raise expedite tickets for critical orders.
• Own service planning initially (scheduling jobs based on parts movement/status), then transition to a dedicated Service Planner (direct report) as volumes grow.
• Ensure customer contact records and work order progress are accurate and current in MyMedGas.
Year‑1 Strategic Targets (India)
• Onboard Top 10 key customers across India to MyMedGas and drive active usage.
• Proactively engage with customers through inside sales to onboard them for spare parts purchases and drive upselling of service plans.
• Establish the Medical pillar strategy for recurring revenue generation along with the BLM MGS India.
• Convert targeted customers to service contracts
• Implement a spares stocking strategy aligned to the installed base.
To succeed, you will need
Educational requirements
• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation Engineering.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional Indian languages are a plus.
• MGPS‑AP/CP, ASSE (or commitment to complete within 12 months of employment).
