The IT Support Specialist provides a high-quality IT Service to stay competitive in an increasingly interconnected world. Atlas Copco´s digital journey continues, to enable us to run business at full speed. This position reports to the IT Manager in India.
Job description
The main responsibilities are:
- Provide full onsite/desk side and remote support to end users .Image, deploy, upgrade and refresh PCs and manage IT Assets using Service now
- Capture all demands coming up from various business units and take it up internally.
- Should follow up with all the stakeholders for completing the assigned tasks.
- Participate in small to medium size IT Infrastructure projects, Local and Global IT Rollouts.
- Advise customers and users on their IT needs and best practices.
- Continuous focus on customer satisfaction, compliance and standards.
- Work with the Service Desk, Application Managers, IT Managers and other stakeholders using the ITIL methodology for IT Service Management.
- Team up with your peers at other locations in case of cross functional support is required.
- Need to have experience about the basic configuration of various PLM tools like Enovia, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault & Windchill PLM systems.
- Knowledge of Servers configuration, backup, Data Center infra, Networking.
- Provide basic to intermediate support for network infrastructure including LAN/WAN connectivity, DNS, DHCP, and switching concepts (VLAN awareness)
- Monitor and support network connectivity using SD-WAN technologies (such as VeloCloud or similar platforms)
- Coordinate with ISP vendors, OEMs (Dell, HP, etc.), and internal network teams for troubleshooting and resolution of network and hardware-related issues.
- Provide IT support in a factory/plant environment, ensuring high availability of systems supporting shop-floor and production operations.
- Work closely with OT teams and coordination related to industrial/OT network connectivity.
- Provide hands-on support for audio-video, meeting room setups and conferencing tools.
- Support Microsoft 365 services and handling user issues, access requests and troubleshooting

Skills & Experience Requirement
- Extended experience of successfully delivering IT services support
- Proven track record of cultural awareness while collaborating with peers in the other regions.
- Working knowledge of value and use of Standard IT processes and methodologies (i.e. ITIL, PMI and SDLC)
- Any network related certification or knowledge (CCNA) is a benefit
- Excellent in collaboration with colleagues and all internal and external stakeholders
Educational requirements
- University degree or equivalent
- Certification within ITIL (Foundation) is a benefit
- Certification within CCNA is a benefit
- Fluency in English, spoken and written is a must
