Mission
As Optimization Manager, your mission is to build, lead, and scale a world‑class Optimization Hub capability that enables Atlas Copco Customer Centers globally to deliver measurable energy efficient, sustainable solutions to customers while ensuring high operational excellence.
In this strategic leadership role, you will act as the product and people leader for AIRScan and Smart AIRnet, while also owning end‑to‑end optimization delivery through strong integration with the Utility Design Center (AIRnet & Energy Recovery experts) and Central Control Technical Support specialists. You will translate divisional optimization strategy into execution, develop deep technical competence, and position the Optimization Hub as a trusted partner for total optimization solutions across the value chain.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Optimization Delivery & Technical Ownership
- Lead and govern execution of AIRScan, Smart AIRnet, and optimization projects, ensuring high technical quality, on‑time delivery, and customer value.
- Act as functional team leader for AIRScan and Smart AIRnet experts, providing technical direction and delivery ownership.
- Ensure seamless integration of Utility Design Center (AIRnet & Energy Recovery) deliveries across the customer centers.
- Own delivery excellence for Central Control technical support, ensuring effective remote commissioning, troubleshooting, and post‑commissioning follow‑up in collaboration with global technical teams.
- Drive adoption and effective utilization of optimization platforms, AIRnet BIM, and digital tools across hubs and Customer Centers.
2. People Leadership & Capability Development
- Build, lead, and inspire a multi‑disciplinary team consisting of AIRScan, Smart AIRnet, Central Control specialists, and Utility Design engineers.
- Define and maintain competency frameworks, skill matrices, and succession plans aligned with current and future optimization needs.
- Develop structured training, certification, and upskilling programs, including technical academies, case studies, and best‑practice sharing.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning across the Optimization Hub.
- Recognize and reward high performance while encouraging collective ownership over individual success.
3. Process, Platform & Continuous Improvement
- Design, implement, and continuously improve standardized workflows, governance models, and delivery processes for optimization services.
- Own and steer development of the Optimization Platform in collaboration with digital and cloud application teams.
- Use customer feedback, operational data, and performance insights to drive service improvement and operational efficiency.
- Ensure alignment with global engineering standards, safety requirements, and best practices.
4. Stakeholder & Customer Center Engagement
- Build strong, trust‑based relationships with Customer Centers, and global Optimization Hubs.
- Act as a strategic interface between divisional optimization leadership and execution teams.
- Represent the Optimization Hub in global forums, reviews, and strategic initiatives.
- Support Customer Centers in realizing the full potential of Atlas Copco’s optimization products and services.
5. Strategy Execution & Business Impact
- Translate divisional optimization strategy and product roadmaps into actionable execution plans.
- Support sustainability objectives by driving energy efficiency, CO₂ reduction, and optimized system performance for customers.
- Apply business insight and data‑driven decision‑making to prioritize initiatives and resources effectively.
To succeed, you will need
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering (BE / B.Tech).
Knowledge & Experience Requirements
- 12-15 years of experience in compressed air systems, energy optimization, utility engineering, or related domains.
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of AIRScan, Smart AIRnet, AIRnet design, energy recovery, and central control systems.
- Proven experience with Atlas Copco Compressor Technique products and CTS Advanced Products & Services.
- Solid understanding of compressed air networks, compressor room design, pressure‑flow behavior, and system optimization.
- Experience with AIRnet BIM, CAD tools, and exposure to BIM / REVIT is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical capability with ability to translate technical and operational data into insights and actions.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
