Title: Sr Mechanical Engineer

Experience: 7-8+ years

Job Details: The ideal candidate should be able to manage and control mechanical design activities for Rotating Equipment’s (Oil injected & oil free screw compressors) , dryers, Nitrogen Generators and support in alignment with project manager, purchase and production.

The candidate should be able to handle detailed design engineering, package designing, Piping & lay outing, package qualification with respect to contractual requirements.

As mechanical engineer, you take full ownership of Mechanical design for our EngineeredSolutions orders. You design product variants based on specific customer specifications/requests and deliver these custom design orders on time in full. You will ensure high quality of design standard of each delivered custom designed product.

Job description

1. Contribute to the company’s mission to become the benchmark product company within AC group by ensuring high reliability of the Engineered products with a First Time Right approach.
2. Take ownership in the field of mechanical engineering for Custom Design orders and lead it from request from Customer, till delivery of the product. You coordinate tasks to respect to the set planning.
3. You work closely with projects,Sourcing, Planning, Production, Quality, and Aftermarket to implement the proven designs in Oil free/Oil injected/ Quality Air products.
4. You design and release solutions for custom designed products, OEM applications and options, should be able to select the bought-out parts.
5. Evaluate customer requirement and support to make a proposal based on the order scope and available resources. 
6. Make sure the design on quality, delivery, SHE, energy saving and cost.
7. Closely get involved with assembly on production line to ensure on time delivery in full.
8. Work according to a lesson learned approach and believe there is always a better way.
9. You will be responsible to design package in 3D , conducting 3D model design reviews within team & with customer , drawing & Bom release , engg documentation for customer ( GAD, datasheets) , engg documentation approval for vendors (pressure vessels , coolers etc).
10. You will be responsible to participate in Pre order meetings, Kick off meetings within PC/CC team & with customer (within india & overseas) from mechanical engg discipline.
11. You will be responsible to drive modular design & standardisation to have less development time for projects.
12. You will be responsible to co-ordinate with EngineeredSolutions global engg teams ( Airpower,wuxi,UTF etc) for the standardisation & new developments for modularity.

Experience requirements:

1. Total 7-8 years of experience with minimum 4-5 years experience  in Engineered products for Oil & Gas market from Compressor (Oil free/Oil Injected screw/Centrifugal/pistons) or Centrifugal Pumps background.
2. Experience of dryers & Nitrogen generators will be added advantage.
3. Need good experience in structural design (skid frames), packaging & layouting, codes and standards for pressure vessel, skids sections, pipings and coolers.
4. Should be able to design the piping layouts
5. Should have experience of handling Customer specifications in Oil & Gas market
6. Should be able to understand FEA analysis, wind & seismic analysis, PV lite pressure vessel calculations, HTRI calculations for coolers.
7. Practical experience in 2D and 3D layout designs
8. Should be familiar with basics of electricals i.e. Motors, Control panels , PLC panels , instruments.
9. Should be familiar with basics of valves (ball valves, butterfly valves, actuated valves etc) & filtrations.
10. Familiar with DFMEA, safety review and related legal requirements.
11. Experience in coordinating other team members in projects and cross functional teams.
12. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
13. Ability to handle supporting engineers team.

1. University degree in Mechanical engineering or similar through experience, major in mechanical engineering or related area.
2. Good command of English (both oral and written)
3. Proficient in SAP, Any ERP system, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Enovia/any PLM system and MS office
