Supply Chain Planning Engineer

Your role

As a Supply chain Planing Engineer, your mission is to For the assigned commodities portfolio. You will report to Sagar Gunjal.

You will

Material Planning & Control

• Formulate Material Procurement Plans based on Manufacturing/marketing requirement for maintenance of Kanban System, JIT Supply &  two bin supply for required volumes
• Plan and procure production components (based on allocated commodity) at right time without creating stock out or excess inventory
• Forecasting of Material requirement to suppliers based on future demand
• Monitor & Release purchase orders in time for material requirement to the vendors as per the production plan on daily basis taking into account monthly level plans.
• Follow up with vendors for material shortages as per pending orders statement, missed KANBANS and visit them whenever required.
• Track the rejections & take timely actions to avoid stock discrepancies.
• Work with Sourcing team for lead time / lot size reduction
• Co-ordinate with sourcing, quality control, 3PL & other functions in manufacturing for timely actions related to production materials.
• Raise alarms to commodity buyers on risk associated with the supply and work closely on Critical suppliers
• Process advance payments to suppliers in time to avoid delay in supplies
• Track performance of critical suppliers and their action plans to reach QDC objectives
• Raise debit claims for production losses on time for supplier non-performance
• Strive for 97% On-time Delivery (100% call-off, 95% Kanban)
• Inventory Management
• Work as per group guidelines & ‘The way we do things’
• Transport Management

Qualifications/Knowledge &  Work Experience:

• +2 years of experience in purchase / supply chain.
• Knowledge in supply chain processes and Manufacturing is a plus
• Fluent in English, and Indian languages like Hindi and Marathi
• Use of IT tools like ERP (BPCS), MS-Excel, Word etc
• Degree in Production/Mechanical Engineering.
