Design Engineer

Mission

As Design engineer your mission is supporting Engineering team by actively participating in projects and components’ development and in the maintenance of drawings, as a Mechanical Designer

The role:

• 2D/3D CAD design and development of specifications and of drawings for the different design phases.
• Preparation of documents related to the release into production (electro-pneumatic diagrams, assembly information, data sheets, information for final testing, CE dossier or other documentation) in compliance with current legislation.
• Actively participating during components’ development, respecting the different phases from design to production and verifying their compliance with the requirements (cost, manufacturability and assemblability).
• Ensuring the compliance of the products with current regulations (environmental, safety regulations, etc.).
• Maintenance of drawings, BOM, and of related documents resulting from updates or modifications.
• Providing support in drafting machine use and maintenance manual and spare parts book.
• Cooperating with T&I and engineering departments and their Project Leaders
• Cooperating with ALL other Local Corporate departments and their Project Leaders for the activities related to the project development during the different phases.
• Providing support to Team Leader Labo during tests and in the preparation of reports during the prototype’s tests, comparing the results with technical specifications

What we expect from our candidates:

• Master’s degrees in mechanical engineering or similar
• Experience in manufacturing company (at least 2 years)
• Experience in designing, castings and machining (at least 2 years)
• Use of CAD and Solidworks for manufacturing products (at least 2 years)
• Experience with mobile diesel engines is considered a plus
• Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
• Strong attention to details and data analysis skills
• Proactive and able to successfully work in team
• Good command of Microsoft 365 applications and AI technologies
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
• Fluent in Italian and good command of English is essential (both spoken and written)

For this role, the successful candidate will be offered a permanent employment contract under the National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) for the Metalworking Industry, classified as a white-collar employee at Level C3. The compensation package includes a starting salary within the relevant pay range beginning at €32k gross per year divided in fourteenth month's salary and participation in the collective profit-sharing bonus program.
