Mission

Design Reviewer your mission will be to ensure that all safety/technical/production/legal/regulatory and environmental aspects of new product development are adhered to and complied with and provide input for the divisional Product 
You will take ownership of the design review and qualification principles outlined in the Concept to Product process. 
Your dedication to this function will be to drive product quality through robust and detailed product documentation evidence coordinated with all departments. Your goal is to ensure 100% product conformance to technical specifications, DRQ, and DFMEA documentation quality upon serial production start.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate design submissions for accuracy, quality and adherence to company standards (in project and product care)  
  • Ensure all designs meet regulatory and compliance requirements and provide input for the Product Compliance & Legislation.
  • Perform Safety reviews and guide the project quality and completeness
  • Perform safety reviews and guide Project team performing DFMEA
  • Organize and lead design review meeting with local design team
  • Ensuring correctness and updating of CE declarations and documentation
  • Build and present reports on project quality and completeness
  • Help the Engineering team to improve project and product quality, by attending Company meetings on quality and field reports
  • Safeguard all quality process in the local engineering team (PLM process, release processes, root cause analysis, reporting, competence management. Make sure the local processes stay aligned with the divisional processes
  • Stay unbiased and independent from project pressure to speed time to market at the expense of quality

What we expect from our candidates:

  • Proven experience in project management (min 5 years)
  • Proven experience in engineering (min 5 years)
  • University Degree - Mechanical engineering or similar
  • Italian and English fluency
  • Design with CAD 2D and 3D
  • Knowledge of Compliance & Legislation requirements.
  • Knowledge about diesel engine, electric motors, sensor and machine controls is a plus
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and ERP
  • Positive and proactive approach, empathy and resilience
  • Structured approach to lead activities with precision and punctuality
  • Problem solving and team working attitude
  • Ability to maintain respectful relations with all colleagues in order to foster a safe, calm and productive environment
  • Trigger and maintain the conditions of active information sharing in the department and between the different functions within the company

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at Varisco S.r.l. Padova, Italy.
