Team Leader Manufacturing
We are seeking a Team Leader Manufacturing eager to join our Team in Varisco Product Company, Padova.
As Team Leader Manufacturing, you will report to the Manufacturing Manager and coordinate a team of Manufacturing Engineers, ensuring the implementation of Lean Six Sigma projects within production, planning, and logistics to enhance the efficiency and quality of processes and products in the Product Company
Varisco Product Company is a well-established and ever-expanding company. It manufactures pumps, both for dewatering and industrial applications. In 2016 Varisco was acquired by Atlas Copco, a Swedish multinational company with 150 years of history behind it.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead, guide and develop the competencies of manufacturing engineers to achieve company goals, in agreement with the Manufacturing Manager
- Lead projects of continuous improvement and develop lean Six Sigma culture in production
- Manage manufacturing processes such as line equipment, assembly phases and their flow, product assembly times, in agreement with the Manufacturing Manager
- Promote and support Company digitalization process
- Collaborate with other manufacturing departments: Quality, Production and Planning
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Manager and Quality to assure key performance indicators (KPIs) for production and logistics
- Collaborate with Engineering team and propose possible changes to be applied to the machines in order to optimize manufacturing processes, both in the prototyping and in the production phase
- Support other departments on the activities related to the improvement project during the different phases: Purchasing, Production, Logistics, Aftermarket, Engineering
What we expect of you:
- University degree in Engineering, preferably Master in Mechanics
- Proven experience in manufacturing company (min 3 years)
- Experience in a Lean Six Sigma environment and technical knowledge on dewatering and industrial pumps and pumping system would be a plus
- Proven experience in people management
- Driven and structured approach in steering the activities with accuracy and punctuality
- Problem solving and team working attitude
- Ability to keep respectful relations with all colleagues in order to foster a safe, calm and productive environment
- Trigger and maintain the conditions of active information sharing in the department and between the different functions within the company, with the goal to permit integrated actions to maximize our (internal or external) customers’ satisfaction
- Flexible, able to adapt own priorities to changes of scenario
- Fluent in Italian and English is essential
- Software skills e.g. Office 365, SAP, Minitab would be an asset
