This opportunity is to be a part of the Edwards EMEA Semiconductor Customer Centre that spans over 9 European countries.  This role is part of the Regional Product Management team supporting our semiconductor chamber solution product development and is based in Burgess Hill, UK with regular travel.

What is this graduate opportunity all about?

This graduate opportunity is to become an expert in knowledge of Advanced Semiconductor manufacturing technology and to develop and hone product marketing strategies and sales skills through a new 2-year graduate programme that will give you broad exposure across the whole EMEA Customer Centre.

 

As a participant in our Graduate Programme, you will develop knowledge on and contribute to the following areas of activity:

  • Contribute to driving product marketing at the customer interface - Provide targeted product marketing and sales presentations for identified opportunities
  • Consolidate voice of the customer & communicates product development requirements -Participate and report back on regular customer meetings with division product management and marketing; Ensure field identified product issues are resolved and integrated into new products; Collect and distribute competitive intelligence on performance, technical differentiation, product strategy, pricing, etc.
  • Manage New Product Introduction, Technical Engagement, and Evaluations - Align with sales and BU on new product introduction targets; Manage and track evaluations slots with sales team; Agree on service support/spares requirements with EMEA service
  • Defines product pricing and margin strategies/targets and cost reduction requirements - Recommend pricing, margin targets and strategies across customer base, market sector, and identify margin improvement opportunities; Drive cost reduction roadmap requirements with product company on behalf of customer centre to achieve sustainable and profitable growth
  • Be actively involved in our Early Careers community.

Location

You will be based in our offices in France, either in Villard Bonnot near Grenoble, or in Herbaly near Paris, alternatively in our Vacuum Technique Business Headquarters in Burgess Hill (Sussex), a short journey from the vibrant seaside city of Brighton and Hove.  We anticipate an opportunity for international travel and/or an overseas placement.

 

To succeed, you will need

  • To be a final year student or a recent graduate with a minimum 2:1 in your undergraduate degree.
  • To demonstrate a passion for working in a Marketing & Product Management environment and developing business acumen.
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to work with internal and external clients and stakeholders globally.
  • To have a process driven mindset and strong customer focus.
  • Drive and desire for continuous professional development.
  • To be organised and have a methodical way of working.
  • The ability to work independently and proactively.
  • The unrestricted and continuous right to work in the UK.
  • To be globally mobile to undertake occasional business travel and/or an overseas placement.
