Your role

At Atlas Copco's Specialty Rental division, we are dedicated to providing customized solutions utilizing our extensive fleet of advanced equipment, including air compressors, power generators, nitrogen generators, dryers, boosters, and steam boilers.

As our Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional repair services for our innovative technology solutions, ensuring an unparalleled level of customer satisfaction while adhering to the finest safety standards. Your expertise will be vital in enhancing the performance and longevity of our clients' technology, supporting their operational success and fostering progress across industries that depend on our tools and equipment.

Your responsibilities will vary but will encompass the following key tasks:

  • Reporting directly to the Service Manager to ensure all repairs and services meet our exceptional standards.
  • Conducting planned and ad hoc service visits to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair various technical systems, while proactively diagnosing issues to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Performing commissioning and decommissioning of rental equipment while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and meticulously documenting all activities.
  • Ensuring effective service and maintenance of returned rental equipment, fostering its availability for the next hire to avoid gaps in our service provision.

  • Essential qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical or Heavy Mobile Equipment fields.
  • A strong commitment to safety protocols and compliance measures.
  • Flexibility to respond to customer demands, including potential after-hours service calls.
  • A self-starter mentality with a drive to fulfill customer requirements efficiently.
  • Capable of working independently while providing thorough reports to the regional office.
  • Desirable familiarity with mining, manufacturing, oil and gas, or production/assembly environments.
  • Previous experience in a workshop or repair setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • A valid driver’s license is mandatory; a forklift license would be a valuable asset.

Job location

You will be an integral part of a dynamic field service team, working remotely with a substantial portion of your time dedicated to visiting customers within your designated area across Australia.
