MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE:

Accountability for the operation, maintenance, monitoring and adjustment of water treatment plants and associated equipment. Adherence to compliance with State, Federal and local laws, regulation and policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Conduct a variety of process tests, water treatment operations and maintenance
  • Assists with mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance of process equipment
  • Participate in ongoing site audits
  • Assess works to be completed and implement immediate correction action as required
  • Create, review, analyse and submit spreadsheets, graphing, and monthly operating and regulatory reports
  • Report any HSEQ issues immediately to Management for action
  • Order site consumables and chemicals as required
  • Monitor and respond to all equipment outages or malfunctions on sites as required
  • Manage the alarm system installation and monitoring for all relevant plant and equipment
  • Ensuring all plant and equipment to be utilised on specific sites are properly tested, inspected, calibrated and service records are maintained
  • Perform analysis of reports and data to determine areas of opportunity for better performance
  • Conduct sampling duties in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and championing the NPE brand
  • Other duties as directed by your supervisor

CORE COMPENTENCIES & SKILLS

Essential:

  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Tertiary Qualifications (Environmental) and/or Trade Certificate (Electrical/ Mechanical or Plumbing)
  • Construction Induction
  • Strong water treatment understanding
  • Chemical knowledge, understanding of processes
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Hydraulic knowledge
  • Electrical & control system aptitude High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and an ability to juggle multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to work well with other team members and champion the NPE brand
  • Ability to work with flexibility and initiative with limited direction or supervision

Desirable:

  • Experience in the Rental, Mining, Construction or Heavy industries
  • Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators or Water Treatment Plant Operators Certificate/experience
  • Forklift licence (LF)
