Internal Sales Engineer

Your role

Anglian Compressors, part of the Atlas Copco Group, is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Internal Sales Executive to join our team in Peterborough. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, supporting customers, and working closely with sales and service teams in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries via phone and email, providing excellent service and product guidance
• Prepare, issue and follow up on quotations while supporting Technical Sales Engineers
• Process customer orders, acknowledgements and maintain accurate CRM records
• Assist with stock checks, claims and general sales administration
• Identify opportunities to upsell or support the sales pipeline
• Work closely with internal teams (Service, Stores, Planning and Accounts) to ensure smooth order fulfilment
• Maintain accurate customer data and support internal process alignment activities

• Experience in internal sales, sales support or a customer service role
• Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach
• Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to prioritise tasks, stay organised and work accurately
• A collaborative team player who takes ownership of their work
• Knowledge of compressed air or industrial products (Desired not essential)
• Experience with systems such as SAP, C4S or Protean (Desired not essential)
