Mission/Purpose of the Job:
At Leybold, we are committed to advancing global technology by empowering our customers to push the boundaries of innovation. As a Key Account Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in helping industrial clients enhance their process efficiencies through vacuum technology. This position acts as the primary customer facing liaison between the Leybold factory and the client with the intent to teach companies about vacuum technology advancements that upgrade their production processes.
Main Responsibilities:

This position is an even mix of time in the home office and on-site work at some of the worlds most technologically advanced factories, teaching engineers and management about vacuum technology, which is a technically challenging topic.

Focus on the metals industry with key OEM and end users to network with global account manager for metals, OEM’s, and promoting Leybold solutions to critical metals end users.

Promote company products by designing and proposing equipment upgrades to assigned account base within a geographic region, focusing on the metals market including OEM and end user management.

Develop and implement inclusive strategies to grow business in a geographical region which includes current clients as well as new opportunities for the Leybold products and services.

Provide exceptional technical support and guidance, ensuring all clients feel heard, respected, and supported.

Attend trade shows, seminars and training sessions to keep informed of trends effecting customers, keep abreast of competitive products, services, and value-added activities.

Responsible for maintaining company property (company car, computer, office equipment, customer demo/loaner products, consignment stock, etc.) that is in his/her control, and or at his/her customer site.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. This role involves both remote work and on-site visits to customer locations, including industrial environments. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use stairways to climb to multiple floors within office building, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. This position requires frequent computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
This position is 100% remote and requires frequent travel for 50% of the position, ofter overnight or multiple days.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Education level

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant experience
Relevant Previous experience

Relevant account management experience in the vacuum marketing
Knowledge areas/Skills

Strong technical apptitude and understanding of vacuum applications

Familiarity with various vacuum technologies
Other requirements

Valid driver’s license

Microsoft product experience
