Your role
As a VAT Specialist, your mission is to ensure accurate and compliant VAT reporting across multiple entities, provide expert VAT guidance, and drive process improvements and automation. You'll play a key role in managing tax risks, supporting audits, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to a culture of knowledge-sharing and continuous development.
You will be:
- Preparing, validating, and submitting all required VAT returns, supporting schedules, and documentation as requested by the Federal Tax Authority
- Proactively providing VAT advice to customer centers, the HUB VAT team, and other departments within the HUB tax team's scope
- Supporting tax audits by providing necessary documentation
- Identifying and managing tax risks, and escalating material risks to the Tax Team Leader or Business Controller
- Communicating clearly with corporate business partners about VAT-related opportunities and risks in complex Atlas Copco transactions
- Analyzing VAT reporting processes and identifying areas for improvement
- Assisting in the review and automation of VAT processes in collaboration with the Automation team
- Supporting internal VAT-related projects
- Delivering VAT training sessions for PTP and AtR departments
- Mentoring junior VAT team members, encouraging their development and deeper understanding of VAT
To succeed, you will need
- 2–4 years of experience in indirect taxes (VAT)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, laws, and standards
- Good knowledge of SAP (an advantage)
- Very good command of English; additional languages are a plus
- Degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or a related field
- Great analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- A team player who can build strong relationships across the company
- Ability to inspire and support junior team members in their development

Job location
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working on home office and being on-site at our hub in Prague 4, the Czech Republic.
