Your role

Are you interested in international trade and motivated to contribute to a global and dynamic business area? The Atlas Copco Power Technique Business Area (PTBA) is looking for a Global Trade Compliance Specialist – Trade Preference with a continuous improvement mindset.

 

Your mission will be to help develop and maintain the Trade Compliance programme within PTBA, work on policies, processes, and tools that support compliant and efficient application of Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and Certificates of Origin (CoO) and collaborate with global teams is essential to enhance trade compliance activities across the business, reporting to the PTBA Trade Compliance Manager.

 

You will: 

  • Map and analyse current CoO determination procedure.
  • Maintain and further enhance CoO determination process with aim to maximize FTA potential.
  • Map company product flows and analyse FTA possibilities.
  • Cooperate with rest of PTBA trade compliance team to maximize FTA usage and duty savings.
  • Follow up with regional team on legislation updates and evaluate potential new FTA opportunities.
  • Build the partnership with Sourcing team and collaborate in improvement initiatives for Suppliers data collection.
  • Assist in collection of relevant Trade compliance master data and support the process to keep them accurate and up to date.
  • Monitor and regularly audit Suppliers statements collection process.
  • Develop report to monitor FTE usage, duty savings and preferential documents submitted to authorities.

To succeed, you will need

  • Solid knowledge of Customs regulations and CoO procedures.
  • Understanding of rules of origin, CoO determination and origin cumulation procedure.
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar in a relevant field (International Business and Trade, Logistics, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 year experience in trade compliance.
  • Self motivation and demonstrated ability to focus on project work and efficiently bringing projects to completion.
  • An eye for detail and are customer-focus.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills (English is a must).
  • Willingness to improve and develop processes.
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Job location
