Job Title :Business Development Manager – Smart Electronics

Location: Bangalore / Chennai.

 

An opportunity to work with the marketing team in General Industry division within Industrial technique business area to reinforce our Atlas Copco brand position in the market.  Achieve market leadership for Atlas Copco tools and productivity solutions.

 

Main tasks & responsibilities:

·      Identify and Pursue business opportunities in Smart Field segments like Railways, Mining and Cement including MRO

·      Mapping of the players in these segments across and executing a go-to-market strategy

·      Build and maintain strong relationships with government bodies, public sector undertakings (PSUs), private sector undertakings, EPC contractors, engineering consultants etc.

·      Collaboration with the sales team and channel partners to develop business in these segments.

·      Appointment or development of channel partners or liasoning agents specifically focused on these segments.

·      Monitor government tenders, RFPs, and rail-related procurement processes to lead proposal development and bidding.

·      Develop market entry and expansion strategies tailored to these segments

·      Analyze industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes affecting these sectors.

·      Participation and representation in various exhibitions, trade fairs, seminars related to these sectors.

·      Develop marketing material and competency of sales team l focused on these segment

 

In this position you will have to communicate with all internal departments and your external relations would consist of Customers, Organizations and Associations.

 

Experience:

·       Engineering Degree or equivalent

·       8-10 years’ experience in sales and marketing, preferably in equipment sales to above industry segments or organizations

·       Familiarity with government tenders (e.g., RFP, RFQ processes)

·       Dynamic person willing to travel extensively and put in efforts for business growth.

·       Adequate knowledge & experience of selling to various industry segments specific to the General Industry is desirable.

·       Sound knowledge of applications in the above General Industry segments will be an added advantage.

·       Solid understanding of CRM tools / MS Outlook express / MS Office will be an asset
