A2R & VAT Team Leader

Your Role:

• Responsible for the effective and efficient Accounting to Reporting (A2R) process, delivering IFRS‑based financial statements and management reporting for Atlas Copco (AC) Vacuum Technique (VT) entities.
• Lead a team of accountants responsible for the accurate and timely preparation and submission of all Group IFRS reports and financial documentation in line with Group policies and standards.
• Provide functional leadership to VAT Specialists, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant VAT reporting for assigned entities.

Main Responsibilities:

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Lead and develop a team of accountants delivering IFRS‑based financial statements and management reporting for multiple entities in line with Group standards.
2. Ensure accurate and timely recording of accounting transactions in compliance with Group policies, procedures, and systems (“The Way”).
3. Oversee financial controls, including GL and sub‑ledger integrity, balance sheet reconciliations, and data quality.
4. Manage and ensure timely month‑end and year‑end closing in accordance with Group reporting deadlines.
5. Provide expert accounting and reporting support to business controllers, local entities, and holding companies.
6. Support EU compliance, statutory reporting, and VAT matters for assigned entities, including communication with tax authorities.
7. Act as primary contact for external and internal audits; lead audits and ensure timely provision of required documentation and explanations.
8. Ensure high‑quality preparation and timely sign‑off of statutory accounts in line with Group timelines.
9. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process, system, and efficiency enhancements within the Service Center/Hub model.
10. Demonstrate general knowledge in VAT related legislation and monitor regularly the last development in this area
11. Actively support implementation of new Group policies and procedures.
12. Deliver high‑quality service to internal stakeholders in line with agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
13. Build strong partnerships with internal Atlas Copco stakeholders and promote the Service Center/Hub concept.
14. Provide balance sheet and P&L analyses to support business and divisional controller reviews.
15. Coach, mentor, and develop team members; lead technical training and conduct regular team and development meetings.
16. Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.

To succeed, you will need:

• Formal Education: Univesity degree, ACCA
• Working Experience: 5+  GL responsibility, audit experience, IFRS reporting, International company
• PC:  MS Office, ERP experience - ideally SAP
• Language:  Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation in English

Other Skills:

• Microsoft Office knowledge (advanced usage of Excel), SAP knowledge is a plus
• Advanced understanding of Financial statements
