AI and Automation Lead

Your role

As a AI and Automation Lead, your mission is to lead a strategic transformation—uniting architecture, product ownership, and delivery to support global business transformation through intelligent automation and AI. You will report to Corrie Freudenstein.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Platform Strategy & Delivery
• Define and execute a platform strategy for intelligent automation and applied AI, aligned to enterprise digital and data priorities.
• Lead the evolution from siloed RPA and AI pilots into unified, scalable platforms that support both automation and transformation.
• Own the lifecycle and roadmap of AI/automation tools such as UiPath, Azure ML, Power Platform, and Databricks.

🔹 Team Building & Capability Hub Leadership
• Build and grow the Pune-based AI & Automation team, combining internal talent development with strategic external partnerships.
• Establish a strong local delivery engine that collaborates with GBS India and global product owners to execute at scale.
• Lead and coach managers focused on architecture, platform operations, and product ownership.

🔹 Business Enablement & Transformation
• Partner with business process owners and transformation teams to identify high-impact use cases across functions.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and fully integrated into existing IT and data ecosystems.
• Drive increased adoption of citizen development and automation self-service across the organization.

🔹 Governance & Operations
• Implement platform governance, security, and compliance controls.
• Establish consistent development standards, reusability frameworks, and MLOps/automation lifecycle practices.
• Monitor performance and impact of deployed solutions, reporting value to senior stakeholders.

To succeed, you will need

•    Over 10 years of experience in IT, automation, or AI/ML leadership roles, including 3–5 years managing global or platform-oriented teams
•    Proven success in building and scaling teams within capability hubs or shared service environments
•    Deep expertise in automation tools (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate), AI/ML lifecycle, and cloud platforms like Azure and Databricks
•    Demonstrated ability to deliver automation and AI use cases in collaboration with business transformation teams
•    Strong leadership, communication, and vendor management capabilities
•    Skilled in driving change and advancing technology maturity in a dynamic environment

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site in Pune, India (IN).
