Based on further expansion of High Pressure  ,we are excited to launch a new initiative of “High Pressure application team” in GECIA to support global  customer centers of AGA within CTBA.

 This position will report to Team Leader -High Pressure Application

You will work closely with  HP& GPP Regional Business Development Manager to support Customer Centers and coordinate with the different proposal engineers in the Engineered Solutions teams of the different Product Companies in engineered projects for specific segments and applications ensuring the most suitable and cost-effective solutions.

Some of these segments are Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical, Hydrogen in mobility, storage, distribution and production, Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage in various applications.

The Application Engineer main functions are the following:

Be hands on and support Customer Centers with technical and commercial budget proposals for engineered compressed high pressure air and gas systems.

Interacts & cooperates globally with all Atlas Copco Customer Centers, end customers, EPCs, OEMs and other Application Engieers and Regional BDMs

 

Mission:

  • To lead the process of offering, supporting the selling and supplying engineered compressed High pressure air and gas systems in compliance with customer and application requirements, making deviations and comments where required.
  • To support customer centers selling to the specific segments mentioned above.
  • To ensure project proposals offered meet customer requirements while realizing a maximum consolidated profitability.

 

. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support Customer Centers sales channel by evaluating the technical/commercially feasibility of a tender and help to clarify customer inquiries and specifications.
  • Review complete request for quotations including all applicable specifications and prepare detailed exceptions as needed.
  • In cooperation with sales engineers and Regional BDMs, establish scope of supply, lead to help define specific product & sales strategy to secure business. Complete, independently, technical, and commercial evaluations to provide professional quotations, costing details and consolidated gross profit calculations.
  • Give timely, accurate, appropriate level of detail.
  • Prepare and lead detailed technical presentations and bid clarification meetings.
  • Lead detailed hand over meetings with the project engineer/ project execution team.
  • Liaise between the customer centers, Engineered Solutions entities, qualified vendors and end customers during the life of the project.
  • Keep a running detailed project log current with necessary details to track quoting activity, status, and results. Review log regularly with regional team and Divisional Marketing and Engineered Solutions Management.
  • Take responsibility for the accuracy of the proposals, CGP% and proposal hit rate together with the Enegineered Solutions teams
  • Responsible of the complete deviation list of the projects handled to ensure the scope of supply on his/her projects is totally agreed minimizing changes during contract execution.

To succeed, you will need

Experience requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in  Application Engineering / Proposal Engineering  from Compressor industry for High Pressure applications
  • Direct experience with the segments mentioned above and its customers is preferred, multicultural international sales a plus.
  • Experience with API standards like API 618, machine directive, PED, ATEX are an advantage.
  • Experience with and understanding of commercial terms and conditions.
  • Experience dealing with engineering consultants and high spec. industry companies would be an asset.
  • Experience reading/interpreting mechanical/electrical CAD drawings.
  • Strong technical and commercial knowledge of engineered high pressure air & gas compression systems and Installations.
  • Able to work within a time frame set by the customer.
  • Able to plan and organize effectively and set priorities.
  • Capable of managing large amounts of documents as part of the deliverables required on all projects utilizing support resources where possible.

  • Good command (verbal and written) of English. Command of other languages is an advantage.
  • Solid understanding and mature user of MS Office.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Strong technical and commercial knowledge of engineered high pressure air and gas compression systems.

 Educational requirements:

  • BE/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation)
  • Be fluent English and knowledge of other languages preferred. Additional diploma / degree in Business Management / Project Management will be useful

Hybrid - This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Pune Office.
