As a Assembly Engineer/ Senior Assembly Engineer- GPP, your mission is to Ensure to produce High Quality machines by following SQDMPI approach

Main Responsibilities:
- Independent handling of assembly and testing operations of assigned Production lines
- Develop Ownership concept on line, “Right from Me” and actively work to improve line KPI’s (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Cost)
- Daily assembly planning and resource allocation
- Assist operators to raise correct andons and co-ordinate with CFT teams to ensure low downtime on lines
- Coordinate with IBL and SCM team to ensure on time material availability.
- Actively participate to Continuous Improvement initiatives for Line, on Safety-Quality-Cost according to LEAN principles
- Co-ordinate/Support Industrial engineer and Manager for implementation of any changes on production line / products.
- Mentor new operators, to build their right experience, and to become autonomous quickly.
- Participate in time study, Line balancing activities and implementation.
- Sample check of the finish products going out of line and ensure zero defect output
- Coordinate rework & repair for defective line output.
- Maintain & Improve workplace by following the 5S concept.
- Ensure Workplace discipline on line.
- Be flexible, raise timely red flags and work towards achieving organization goals
- Leading from the front – if required work on assembly line / testing to demonstrate the desired level of quality and productivity, you will have to be flexible to follow shift timings and working days in line with shop floor employees.
- Create a culture of Kaizen and continuous improvements, motivate positive change
- Participate in Discussion of Major Quality issues to ensure timely closure & avoid repetition of Customer complains. (F3/TCM Feedback)
- Create best practices by formalizing the Testing/product/application knowledge
- Optimize packing of FG in co-ordination with OBL Team
- IMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14000, ISO 50001 & OHSAS) mandatory, legal & internal requirement fulfilment for manufacturing function.
To succeed, you will need
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
- Diploma/Degree in Engineering from the Government Recognized Technical Boards
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
For diploma - 8 to 10 years of experience,
For Degree – 4 to 6 years of experience in assembly /testing of industrial equipment’s
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- In depth knowledge of assembly and testing processes of Industrial products like compressors/generators / etc
- Should have operating knowledge of Andon systems & Basic Computer operation
- Should be able to analyse and resolve performance/function related issues
