As a Asst. Manager/ Deputy Manager- Methods, You will report to Head Manufacturing
Main Responsibilities:
To improve end-to-end factory operations processes by putting the customer at the center and making factory operations future proof , agile, transparent and process driven.
Harmonize and improve processes with a focus on automation and digitalization,motivate, coach and develop the skills of the Methods Engineers in flow teams.
Define the future way of working. You will play key role in shaping the best in class Production and internal logistics process to be.
Continuously work towards a more efficient, leaner, transparent and reliable production and logistic processes in order to guarantee that the targets in terms of lead-time, on time delivery and profitability are met while decreasing administration burden and increasing throughput.
Serve as the 5S Champion for our Behavior Based Safety Culture and lead/facilitate engaging initiatives to obtain and maintain 5S.
Optimize the utilization and efficiency of labor by identifying, developing and providing improved tools, methods, processes, plant layout, material handling and movement, equipment and facilities. All efforts should incorporate the concepts and practices of continuous improvement with the aim of achieving a lean manufacturing organization.
Participate and take responsibility in the different phases of the SAP implementation project (Preparation, fitment, realization, hypercare, harvesting and long term) from methods point of view.
Align all your activities & solutions closely with the flow teams, logistics and cross functional teams to ensure excellent end-to-end processes.
Keeps abreast of all current trends and developments in the areas of manufacturing, automation, process development, etc. and leverage these when and where applicable.
Use of Industry 4.0 tools and techniques to improve agility in operations
You will be key member to design modular material handling solutions alongside logistics team.
You will also play an important role to implement operations excellence initiatives in our new factory
To succeed, you will need
Educational requirements
Degree in Engineering(BE Mechanical) with10+ years of experience in methods / process / production engineering function
Post Graduation in Technology or Management would be an added advantage
Experience requirements
Demonstrated experience utilizing institutional problem solving and process improvement tools and methodoligies such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Industry 4.0 and statistical process control. Knowledge of ISO-9001, ISO-14001, OSHAS: 18001 standards requirements is a must
