Asst Manager/Sr Engineer -Sourcing

Your role

Job description

• Take responsibility of procurement of direct material from local and overseas.
• To negotiate favourable terms, condition, pricing, and to arrange for delivery when and where needed ensuring compliance to product specifications, quality, delivery and cost expectations
• Continuously aim for cost reduction initiative to meet sourcing pre-post target as per market evolution
• Work closely with Production, Quality, Project to ensure seamless deliveries of right material with right quality and exactly when it is required to keep delivery performance of the projects above 95%.
• Cooperate with logistic, production, planning, etc. ensure JIT inventory
• Frequently visiting vendor end to follow up and to expedite ongoing jobs, process enhancement
• To create & maintain sourcing dashboards for LD, Savings, OTD, FTR etc
• Supporting monthly reporting activities
• To participate and contribute sourcing side in various meetings like Project Review Meetings, Toolbox Talk Meetings etc
• All other tasks defined by sourcing manager as per business needs.
• Support audit preparations (External as well internal) till punch point closure
• Assist team leaders in creating vendor dashboards, digitalization drives, monthly reporting activities, BPR and all other reporting/compliances
• Support and improve use of Jagger tool to communicate with vendors
• To monitor performance of expeditors and to take action on red flags raised by stakeholders

To succeed, you will need

Experience requirements

• Sound technical knowledge about product, procurement, supply chain, commercial and technical acumen to execute tailor-made projects having experience of compressors, pump and expansion turbines.
• Experience of Project Procurement of Rotating Equipment such as Turbo compressors, Expanders, Process Pumps & its auxiliaries
• Strong interpersonal communication
• Experience desired will be in the range of of 8-10 years for GAP products. Lower experience candidates can be considered for suitable position

 Knowledge

• SAP MM and MS office expertise required
• Strong commercial contract conditions and supply chain knowledge
• Sound knowledge in new supplier development, manufacturing process, global supply chain, planning and system will be an added advantage.

Educational requirements

• University degree in Engineering or equivalent in any discipline
• Be fluent English and other Indian languages
