Your Role

 

We are seeking to onboard a Business Analyst & Scrum Master for our Data Analytics team. In this hybrid role, you will facilitate Agile Scrum ceremonies, manage business requirements, and ensure efficient collaboration within the scrum team to deliver high-quality solutions.

 

You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct grooming sessions, and ensure deliverables meet business needs. Additionally, you will coach and mentor the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and helping the team achieve objectives consistently.

 

The ideal candidate is a detailed planner, expert communicator, and analytical thinker committed to driving innovative solutions in a dynamic digital landscape.

 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

As a Business Analyst:

  • End-to-end project management of data analytics projects.
  • Present Data Analytics competence capabilities to customers/stakeholder.
  • Manage client relationships, gather requirements, and define scope.
  • Gather requirements for new projects and enhancements.
  • Support competence and skill development initiatives.

As a Scrum Master:

  • Facilitate kick-off meetings and Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
  • Prepare and maintain project management documents like Project plan, SOW, SOPs, etc.
  • Conduct demos with developers and gather stakeholder feedback.
  • Identify and resolve blockers impacting team progress.
  • Promote Agile/Scrum adoption and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain Jira/Confluence boards and ensure completeness.
  • Track KPIs and help teams deliver high-quality solutions on time.
  • Coach the team in self-management and adherence to Agile principles.
  • Conduct Agile and relevant technical training sessions to enhance team competence and performance.
  • Ensure productive, time-boxed team events.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and team to prepare and refine user stories.

To succeed, you will need

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering/IT (B.E./B.Tech/MCA/MTech/BSc/MSc/MCS)

Experience:

6–9 total years of experience in Business Analysis and Scrum Master roles.

OR

4+ years of experience in software/data development and 2+ years of experience in Business Analysis and Scrum Master roles.

 

Skills:

  • Core Expertise:
  • Strong knowledge of Data Analytics and Agile methodologies.
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master with hands-on use of Jira and Confluence or any other PM tools.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with comfort in working with data, trend analysis, and reporting.
  • Conceptual understanding of ETL, programming, database and KPI reporting (added advantage).
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes (added advantage).
  • Agile & Scrum Proficiency:
  • Deep understanding of Scrum techniques and artifacts (Definition of Done, user stories, backlog refinement, automated testing).
  • Familiarity with other Agile frameworks (Kanban, SAFe).
  • Scrum Master certification (PSM I/II, CSM, SAFe) is a plus.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements and communicate effectively.
  • Align on the big picture and drive toward shared goals.
  • Educate users on functionalities and train them on visualization tools.
  • Collaborate across organizational levels to identify and implement performance improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with stakeholders across business units (sales, production, logistics, sourcing, finance) for requirement analysis and documentation.
  • Evaluate and communicate system requirements using Atlassian tools; deliver monthly status reports.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide actionable insights.
  • Understand the Software Development Lifecycle and enterprise reporting needs.
  • Provide informal guidance and share knowledge within the team.
  • Support software and data teams in applying the Scrum framework.
  • Plan deliverables and contribute to improved team performance.
  • Facilitate resolution of issues hindering team progress.

 

Must have:

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, requirement elicitation and collaboration skills.
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies, coaching, mentoring, and Scrum ceremonies.
  • Project management and PM tools experience.

 

Nice to have:

  • Strong foundation in Data Analytics - ETL, programming, database and KPI reporting.
  • Knowledge/ Familiarity of Microsoft Azure platform, Microsoft other tools and Power BI.
  • Agile certifications (CSM, PSM).
