Your role
As a Research and Development Engineer specializing in centrifugal compressor packages within the Gas and Process division's Mechanical Team, you will lead the design and innovation efforts essential to advancing our product portfolio. Your work will be pivotal in engineering solutions that exhibit optimal performance, reliability, and compliance with international standards. You will collaborate extensively with team leaders and customers to translate project requirements into detailed engineering designs, ensuring the highest quality throughout all stages of development.
Your responsibilities encompass:
- Thoroughly understanding project scopes and translating them into actionable work breakdown structures and detailed project action plans.
- Preparing and developing comprehensive manufacturing and engineering drawings customized to client specifications.
- Submitting designs for internal and external reviews, incorporating customer feedback meticulously to attain final approvals.
- Maintaining clear and concise communication through milestone reports and daily status updates to project leads.
- Ensuring all designs uphold the highest quality standards and regulatory compliance, prioritizing "First Time Right" outcomes.
- Applying fundamental knowledge of centrifugal compressors and familiarity with API, ASME, DIN, and ISO standards to support sound engineering practice.
- Conducting rigorous quality checks on your work and that of the team to minimize errors and improve deliverable quality.
You will report directly to the Team Leader, contributing both technical expertise and strategic insights to enable the successful delivery of complex engineering projects. To succeed, you will need
To excel in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in centrifugal compressor technology and a solid understanding of international engineering standards such as API, ASME, DIN, and ISO. Proficiency in key engineering software including SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Enovia is essential. We value candidates with relevant industry experience—typically a Bachelor's degree complemented by 3 to 5 years in similar engineering roles. Strong communication skills, creativity, initiative, and a team-oriented mindset are integral to your success here.

This position is based on-site at our Chinchwad office in Pune, India.
