Design Engineer/ Senior Design Engineer - GAP- Engineered Solutions

Your role
As a Research and Development Engineer specializing in centrifugal compressor packages within the Gas and Process division's Mechanical Team, you will lead the design and innovation efforts essential to advancing our product portfolio. Your work will be pivotal in engineering solutions that exhibit optimal performance, reliability, and compliance with international standards. You will collaborate extensively with team leaders and customers to translate project requirements into detailed engineering designs, ensuring the highest quality throughout all stages of development.
Key responsibilities:
• Understand the scope of work for custom design from the project leader/ GECIA PMS.
• Understand the work break down structure and design an action plan.
• Estimate time and provide inputs to project leader.
• Design the manufacturing and engineering drawings as per customer requirements.
• Submit the drawings to applicants for review; Incorporate changes requested by the customer and seek approval.
• Present milestone report to lead engineer or project leader and incorporate changes as requested.
• Update status sheet daily and submit to lead engineer for review.
• Basic knowledge of centrifugal compressors.
• Knowledge of API, ASME, DIN and ISO standards.
• Conduct quality checks of self and team's output to achieve adherence to defined quality standards in order to deliver error free outputs "FIRST TIME RIGHT”.
You will report directly to the Team Leader, contributing both technical expertise and strategic insights to enable the successful delivery of complex engineering projects. To succeed, you will need
Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of centrifugal compressors.
- Knowledge of API, ASME, DIN and ISO standards.
Software skills (Must) –
- SolidWorks
- Autodesk Inventor
- AutoCAD
- Enovia
Educational and Experience requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with 3-5+ years industry experience in similar positions
- Proficient in Microsoft office.
Personality requirements:
- You should be a creative person who takes initiatives to understand and deliver output at the highest quality in specified time. You will be a committed team player and have good communication skills in English.

This position is based on-site at our Chinchwad office in Pune, India. Working on-site enables direct collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and facilitates seamless knowledge sharing, ensuring your contributions are fully integrated into our projects.
