Your role
As a key member of our Engineering Change Management and SAP Master Data Management team, you will serve as the primary liaison supporting ERP activities for Engineering and Project teams across the organization.
- Deliver expert ERP support focusing on precise maintenance and management of material master data to guarantee data integrity and system efficiency.
- Create, update, and manage comprehensive Bills of Material (BOM) and routing information, ensuring alignment with production and quality requirements.
Engineering Change Management responsibilities include:
- Facilitate the planning, execution, and monitoring of Engineering Changes (EC) to ensure timely implementation and minimal production impact.
- Track EC workflows rigorously, expediting approvals and effectively mitigating delays through proactive communication with stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Project Leaders, Engineering teams, and Operations to initiate and manage change requests efficiently.
- Coordinate non-production part requisitions, ensuring warehouse coordination to support engineering needs promptly.
Master Data Management and Capability Enhancement:
- Enhance team expertise in SAP material master data management through continuous skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Expand service offerings by developing innovative solutions leveraging master data management best practices.
- Support initiatives aimed at establishing the team as a recognized Center of Excellence in engineering data management.
- Explore cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence to optimize change management processes and improve master data accuracy.
Process Improvement and Leadership:
- Lead process optimization projects to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and improve cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials to ensure consistent application of best practices within the team.
- Contribute to team growth by mentoring colleagues and recruiting new talent in alignment with organizational expansion goals.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and deliver engaging training programs to foster a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
To succeed, you will need
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Mechanical Engineering expertise with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Engineering Change Management and SAP Master Data Management.
- Proficiency in SAP modules, including MM and PP, supported by relevant certifications.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cross-functional coordination within engineering environments.
- Experience with data migration, including bulk updates and transitioning from legacy ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to effectively balance remote work with in-person collaboration at our Atlas Copco, GECIA Office located in Pune, India. This flexible setup supports productivity while fostering connection with your team and cross-functional partners.
