Mission

As a Engineer Process Management CTS, you are the owner of the Service BOM and Service Kit structure for the products and acquisitions within your scope. You are responsible for ensuring service readiness by defining, creating, maintaining, and releasing Service BOMs and Service Kits that support the installed base throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordination and Release

  1. Collaborate with Technical support and Product companies to translate service strategies into service BOMs and Service kits.
  2. Define service parts, maintenance kits, recommended spare parts and service alternatives
  3. Collect legacy spare‑part and BOM data from the acquired company. 
  4. Identify and validate serviceable spare parts with Engineering and Service teams.
  5. Check duplicates and harmonize parts with existing company standards.
  6. A significant part of your role is coordinating the Spare Part Proposal process. You follow up activities with Pricing, Purchasing and Logistics to ensure parts are correctly released, priced and available within Atlas Copco's distribution centres before products reach customers.
  7. Prepare SPP with required part details and support approval for SPP.
  8. Convert approved SPP into SBOM and Service Kit

 

Service BOM and Service Kit Creation

  1. Create, review and release Service BOMs based on Engineering BOMs created by the Product Companies.
  2. Perform EBOM vs SBOM consistency checks to ensure complete and accurate service structures.
  3. Validate spare part selections, define alternates, add service-specific parts and kits, and ensure the Service BOM accurately represents customer service requirements.
  4. Ensure a standard and accurate Service BOM structure.
  5. Manage supersessions in Service BOMs to reflect approved replacements and Service Kits while maintaining alternative parts for service continuity.
  6. Handle obsolete parts by updating replacements or end-of-service actions.
  7. Ensure supersession, obsolescence, alternatives, effectivity and features are correctly reflected in the Service BOM.
  8. Maintain effectivity rules for wherever applicable

 

Part Release and Change management

  1. Execute part release activities as per PLM and quality processes
  2. Ensure part status, revision, and traceability are correct.
  3. Support part lifecycle activities: creation, modification, release tracking
  4. Ensure released parts meet engineering standards, documentation and traceability

 

Acquisition and Merger Support

  1. As an important role in acquisition projects by evaluating existing spare part structures, identifying gaps between local product data and Atlas Copco standards, and translating available information into complete and accurate Service BOMs.
  2. Review existing part numbers, naming rules, and service structure.
  3. Support part harmonization and integration during acquisitions and mergers.
  4. Identify duplicate or obsolete spare parts and support rationalization.
  5. Ensure smooth data migration and standardization across systems.
  6. Translating available information into complete and accurate Service BOMs.

 

Cross – Functional Collaboration

  1. Coordinate and work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Service, and Quality teams.
  2. Resolve part, BOM, and release issues.
  3. Resolve data gaps, part discrepancies, and release issues through proactive communication.
  4. Participate in reviews, audits, and technical discussions related to part data.
  5. Provide timely updates to stakeholders and the divisional team

 

Quality and Documentation

  1. Maintain accurate records, reports, and dashboards related to part release and SPP status.
  1. Ensure all deliverables meet quality and documentation standards.
  1. Help ensure a first-time-right service experience for customers worldwide.

Experience and Skillsets required

  • Understanding of manufacturing, service, and aftermarket part structure
  • Knowledge of SPP, SBOM, PLM, SAP, Service kits would be considered a plus
  • Knowledge of compressor technique business processes
  • Product Knowledge will be an added advantage
  • Strong coordination, analytical and communication skills
  • Strong process adherence with continuous improvement mindset
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools like POWER BI
  • Ownership mindset and collaborative team player

 

Educational requirements:

Engineering degree with relevant experience

Minimum 4-5 years of experience required
