As a Engineering Manager - Medical Gas Solutions(MGS), You will report to Head Engineering
Job Description
- Manage the MGS engineering team to design and develop new products and to follow-up and further localize the products currently in production, against the committed time, cost and quality requirements.
- Give strong guidance to Engineering team to comply with the common Concept to Product (CtP2.0) process.
- Focus on cost reductions and lead special cost reduction projects as decided in the MGS PCM. Make VK and PK costs transparent for all products produced in Talegaon Plant whilst maintaining a high level of confidentiality. Concentrate on consolidated cost pictures.
- Guide the engineering development process for the different projects. Set up a time frame taking the available resources and priorities into consideration. Respect to the set planning once the project plan is approved by the Product committee meeting (PCM). Represent projects at the divisional PCM's.
- Safeguard the quality of the design and make sure that all engineering employees know, master and respect the CtP2.0, design rules and Quality procedures.
- Work closely with Sourcing and Manufacturing Dept. and provide sourcing engineers with the required technical information.
- Work closely with Engineering Dept. of PNB and the Group’s product companies involved regarding the design of the different products.
- Represent the interests and be the voice of the MGS Division within the Product Company management and Engineering Department team.
- Supervise the outgoing product audits to make sure the engineering standards are continuously met.
To succeed, you will need
Education & Experience Requirement

University degree or above, major in mechanical engineering or related area. Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum 12-15 years of product design and development experience in mechanical engineering
- Experience in project management is a must.
- People Management experience of handling engineering teams including Cross functional teams as well. Experience to work within the Airpower organisation is a big asset. Having a proven experience on MGS products is also a strong asset Should have the knowledge and experience of product Legal requirements
Knowledge
- Good presentation, business communication and analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in the use and development of IT tools (PLM, Office 365, ERP)
- Excellent command of English language
- Design of compressors,new Product Introduction in line with the Atlas Copco group
