Job Description: Field Service Engineer, Pune

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Execute service and maintenance activities as per plan for PLC and automation-based systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in PLC (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.) and associated control systems
  • Handle customer complaints (Warranty/Goodwill/Others) and ensure proper logging into the SQR database
  • Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Ensure timely response and resolution of breakdowns to meet agreed SLA/response times
  • Deliver customer training on PLC-based equipment and best maintenance practices
  • Support the service sales team for AMC renewals, spares forecasting, and service offerings
  • Guide and support service technicians to ensure quality workmanship
  • Manage key customer accounts and ensure long-term service satisfaction
  • Coordinate with project and installation teams for new equipment commissioning
  • Follow safety, health, and environmental (SHE) guidelines at all job sites
  • Identify recurring faults, perform root cause analysis, and drive preventive measures
  • Maintain documentation of service reports, feedback, and recommendations
  • Stay updated on latest PLC tools, diagnostic software, and automation technologies

 

 

 

To Succeed You Will Need:

 

  • Solid hands-on experience in servicing and maintaining PLC and automation systems
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, or similar PLC platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in automation diagnostics
  • Good understanding of electrical schematics, control panels, and HMI interfaces
  • Excellent customer handling and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage customer expectations effectively
  • Familiarity with service documentation on digital platform
  • A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies
  • Willingness to travel within the West Region for on-site support
