Job Description: Field Service Engineer, Pune |
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute service and maintenance activities as per plan for PLC and automation-based systems
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in PLC (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.) and associated control systems
- Handle customer complaints (Warranty/Goodwill/Others) and ensure proper logging into the SQR database
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Ensure timely response and resolution of breakdowns to meet agreed SLA/response times
- Deliver customer training on PLC-based equipment and best maintenance practices
- Support the service sales team for AMC renewals, spares forecasting, and service offerings
- Guide and support service technicians to ensure quality workmanship
- Manage key customer accounts and ensure long-term service satisfaction
- Coordinate with project and installation teams for new equipment commissioning
- Follow safety, health, and environmental (SHE) guidelines at all job sites
- Identify recurring faults, perform root cause analysis, and drive preventive measures
- Maintain documentation of service reports, feedback, and recommendations
- Stay updated on latest PLC tools, diagnostic software, and automation technologies
To Succeed You Will Need:
- Solid hands-on experience in servicing and maintaining PLC and automation systems
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, or similar PLC platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in automation diagnostics
- Good understanding of electrical schematics, control panels, and HMI interfaces
- Excellent customer handling and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage customer expectations effectively
- Familiarity with service documentation on digital platform
- A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies
- Willingness to travel within the West Region for on-site support
