Your role

The Global Business & IT Solutions Center (GBISC) in Pune is a growing hub providing IT, Finance and other global capabilities to Atlas Copco stakeholders worldwide.
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the People & Culture agenda, develop the HR team and play a key role in building an engaging, compliant and high-performing workplace.

Mission of the Role

The HR Manager role defines the local People & Culture strategy for GBISC Pune and leads its execution in alignment with VTBA and Atlas Copco Group standards. The role has significant impact on culture, employee experience and organizational effectiveness within a dynamic and internationally connected environment.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Define the People & Culture strategy for GBISC Pune and lead its execution in line with VTBA and global HR frameworks.
  • Lead, coach and develop the HR team to ensure efficient, high-quality and service-oriented HR delivery.
  • Act as a strategic partner and people advisor within the Leadership Team, contributing to organizational planning, workforce decisions and people-related initiatives.
  • Oversee end-to-end HR operations across the hire-to-retire lifecycle, ensuring compliance, consistency and a positive employee experience.
  • Monitor and report People & Culture KPIs, identifying trends and opportunities to continually enhance HR effectiveness.
  • Drive learning and development initiatives, job evaluations and performance processes that support the site’s evolving skills and capability needs.
  • Drive HR digitalization, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Ensure adherence to Indian labour legislation, internal governance and Atlas Copco HR policies and standards.
  • Build strong collaboration within the broader Atlas Copco People & Culture community across India and global networks to ensure alignment and shared best practices.
  • Promote a culture of engagement, inclusion and continuous improvement, with emphasis on communication, recognition and employee involvement.

What You Bring

  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leading and developing a small HR team.
  • Experience in an international, matrix environment and collaboration with senior leaders.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian labour law, HR governance and best practice.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • High integrity, professionalism and resilience, with ability to operate in a dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Strong capability with HR systems and tools, and interest in improving HR processes.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate people data into meaningful actions.
  • Growth mindset, adaptability and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Ability and willingness to work primarily from the office to ensure strong on-site presence and collaboration with employees and leaders.
  • Willingness to undertake occasional international travel.
