Atlas Copco India Private Ltd is seeking a skilled IP Administrator/Paralegal for its Pune location. The Intellectual Property (IP) team is responsible for protecting IP assets across business areas including Compressor Technique, Power Technique, Vacuum Technique, and Industrial Technique, along with their global subsidiaries and product companies.

The selected candidate will support in-house IP attorneys and analysts in managing a wide range of administrative and legal IP activities. This includes maintaining docketing systems, handling legal documentation, coordinating with inventors and global attorneys, and ensuring efficient execution of ongoing and new IP matters. The role demands strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices received from IP attorneys across multiple jurisdictions accurately and timely
  • Monitor annuity payment deadlines and coordinate with attorneys for patent maintenance globally
  • Maintain and update the IP docketing system, ensuring accurate data entry and deadline tracking
  • Provide administrative support for IP prosecution activities across different divisions
  • Handle patent filing tasks including payment of official fees and submission of forms at the Indian Patent Office
  • Manage documentation related to patents and trademarks with precision and compliance
  • Coordinate effectively with IP attorneys in India, Europe, and the USA for filings and related activities
  • Collaborate with inventors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely execution of IP tasks

To succeed, you will need

Experience Requirements:

2–3 years of experience in an IP Administrator/Paralegal role within a corporate, law firm, or IP agency.
Knowledge of European and US Patent & Trademark practices is required.
Familiarity with IP filings and prosecution in the Indian jurisdiction is essential; PCT knowledge is an added advantage.
Proficiency in MS Office tools is mandatory.
Hands-on experience with IP administrative tools is required, with preference for Equinox.

 

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Additional certification or qualifications in Intellectual Property will be an advantage.
