IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Your role

As an Infrastructure Project Manager at Atlas Copco, you will spearhead critical infrastructure projects and programs, spanning multiple domains such as Server Management, Network Infrastructure, Identity & Access Management (IAM), as well as Cloud and Hybrid IT environments. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that these initiatives deliver the targeted business outcomes within the agreed scope, budget, and timeline.

You will serve as a central liaison, bridging communication and collaboration between diverse business stakeholders, internal technical delivery teams, and external partners or vendors. Combining robust project management principles with a solid technical understanding, you will expertly guide, challenge, and steer complex infrastructure projects to successful completion.

To succeed, you will need

• Proven experience partnering with both business and IT stakeholders to translate infrastructure objectives into detailed project plans.
• Strong ownership mindset over projects, from initiation through to closure, leveraging recognized project management methodologies and governance structures.
• Capability to lead and coordinate cross-functional, multi-regional teams of technical experts spanning server platforms, networking, IAM, cloud, and security domains.
• Technical proficiency to engage effectively with architects, engineers, and external partners, validating alignment with architectural and operational standards.
• Excellent risk management skills, proactively identifying and mitigating risks related to infrastructure availability, security, and technology lifecycle.
• Working knowledge of industry-standard frameworks and practices such as ITIL, PMI methodologies, and SDLC principles.
• Experience using commercial project and portfolio tools (e.g., ServiceNow) for project tracking and reporting.

Job location

This position is based in Pune, India, with a hybrid working model designed to offer flexibility and convenience. You will have the opportunity to work both remotely and on-site at our Atlas Copco facility in Pune, fostering collaboration while supporting work-life balance.
