Your Role
Purpose
A high-quality IT environment is a must to stay competitive in an increasingly interconnected world. We are seeking an IT Operations Specialist - Certificate & DNS Operations, to join the Central IT Operations Team within Atlas Copco Group IT. Atlas Copco is a global leader in industrial solutions, with various brands and over 1000 websites (both internal and external) that require secure certificates. These certificates need to be updated and managed regularly. Besides website certificates, Atlas Copco also uses certificates for network equipment, device connectivity, PDF signing, and more. Atlas Copco also operates different DNS systems for internal, external and cloud DNS. These systems need to communicate effectively and efficiently with each other.
The role will involve developing and maintaining common processes and tools for all regions, as well as acting as a Certificate & DNS subject matter expert. This will include advising and training regional IT Teams, ensuring best practices, reporting on all certificates and DNS within Atlas Copco.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing Certificate Lifecycle solution and tools
- Maintaining an accurate inventory and Keeping track of all certificates and their associated applications
- Automating renewal and installation of SSL Certificates
- Advising business stakeholders on the best types of certificates and how to install them
- Develop and document robust processes
- Support in developing automated systems for alerts, renewal and installation
- Balancing cost and security considerations
- Manage the operational aspects of DNS systems, which involves:
- Maintaining an accurate inventory of DNS and its related applications
- Advise and Assist business stakeholders in creating and updating DNS records correctly
- Process DNS requests and Support in developing automated systems for DNS record lifecycles, such as request/change/removal, etc.
To succeed, you will need
Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of IT experience, preferably in a shared services environment.
- 3+ years of Experience with different kinds of certificates, such as wildcard, multidomain, EV, and understand their benefits and limitations.
- 3+ years of Experience in generating and signing SSL certificates using tools like OpenSSL and Certbot. Knowledge of how to create and manage CSR, public/private keys, and certificate chains.
- 2+ years of coordination and/or Service Management experience
- Solid knowledge and hands on experience with different certificates, such as code signing, device certificates, SAML certificates, client authentication etc.
- Experience with Sectigo Certificate Manager or other Certificate Lifecycle Management tool is highly valued
- Solid working knowledge of DNS and PKIs. Configuration of DNS records for various purposes, such as domain verification, load balancing, and redirection.
- Experience with Domain Transfer, new domain acquisition and registration, changing/updating/removing DNS records.
- Knowledge of DNSSEC and how it enhances the security and integrity of DNS, experience with tools like dnssec-tools and BIND to implement DNSSEC for some domains is a plus.
- Python or any automation programming language is a plus
- Experience in developing and managing Power Bi reports is plus
- Experience with APIs and Automation is highly desirable
- Experience of successfully delivering IT services, projects, and support.
- Working knowledge of value and use of Standard IT processes and ITIL methodologies
Educational/Personality Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent experience
- Certification within ITIL (Foundation) is desirable.
- Fluency in English, spoken and written is a must.
