Internal Controls Specialist

Your Role:

Job in Internal Control department which supports the achievement of strong control environment and performs the testing of the operating effectiveness of internal controls in the company including utilization of innovative solutions such as automations, robotics, and AI.

Main Responsibilities 

• Testing the effectiveness of internal controls, e.g. reviewing balance sheet reconciliations.
• Conducting compliance reviews, such as assessing the setup of approvers in various systems to ensure compliance with Global/Local Prokura.
• Centrally coordinating Prokura updates to maintain compliance.
• Collecting and analyzing data to evaluate current internal control processes and proposing improvement ideas - assessing their feasibility and benefits.
• Collaborating with the IT team on the implementation of automation and robotic solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of internal controls.
• Exploring the potential of AI in the internal control environment.
• Collaborating on the development of the OIC process.
• Following instructions from superiors.

General accountabilities: 

1. Adheres to the policies, principles, regulations, and guidelines assuring work safety in all work activities and follows the policy and objectives of quality and environmental protection During all work activities observes policies, regulations and directives for quality and protection of environment
2. Keeps his working place and equipment in order and in the line with the 5S system principles
3. Shows active approach towards broadening knowledge and qualification
4. Follows internal guidelines of the employer and generally applicable regulations
5. Proposes improvement of processes and procedures within own capabilities.

To succeed, you will need:

• University degree in Finance, Economics or Computer science
• Experience in financial accounting and financial internal controls framework
• Experience in harnessing innovative solutions to enhance the internal control environment
• MS Office on advanced level, Power BI
• ERP experience (ideally SAP), Data analytics
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation in English
• Technically proficient and capable of communicating accounting complexities to line managers.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication with individuals at various levels of the organization, possessing strong interpersonal skills, self-awareness, and adeptness in communication.
• Proficient in communicating deficiencies and challenging the status quo.
• Hardworking, adaptable, and goal-oriented with a "can-do attitude.
