Platform Engineer -MS Dynamics 365

Your role
Comprehensive Governance & Standards Execution
- Lead the development and implementation of tenant-wide governance frameworks that cover environment strategy, naming conventions, and lifecycle management to ensure uniformity and integrity across Microsoft Dynamics 365 platforms.
- Elevate compliance to non-functional requirements by rigorously addressing data security, system performance optimization, disaster recovery preparedness, and regulatory adherence, thereby building a resilient and secure operational platform.
- Take ownership of strategic capacity planning, storage utilization, and license management, transcending simple monitoring to proactive optimization of resources to meet evolving business demands.
- Provide essential support for technological rollouts and new initiatives by validating platform readiness, enforcing standards diligently, and collaborating with Microsoft and internal teams to rapidly resolve complex escalations.
- Champion an organizational knowledge-sharing culture by designing and leading skill development sessions that strengthen internal team capabilities and ensure continuity in platform management.
- Contribute strategically to the Center of Excellence (CoE), influencing long-term operational standards and guiding innovation beyond routine maintenance activities.
Platform Security, Operations & Support
- Oversee the day-to-day operation and health monitoring of Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments including development, test, and production tiers to guarantee service reliability and availability.
- Implement proactive incident management by swiftly diagnosing and resolving system anomalies, bottlenecks, or defects, working collaboratively across frameworks and vendor teams.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery strategies ensuring data integrity and business continuity under varied failure scenarios.
- Administer secure access protocols including user account management and role-based permissions, enforcing segregation of duties to safeguard compliance and minimize risks.
Automation, DevOps & Integration Enhancement
- Design, deploy, and maintain robust Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines tailored for Dynamics 365, accelerating delivery cycles and raising deployment reliability.
- Drive automation of repetitive platform tasks such as environment provisioning, monitoring, and deployment to reduce errors while maximizing operational efficiency.
- Advocate best practices in DevOps and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), fostering sustainable and streamlined processes across multiple development and operational teams.
- Support seamless integration of Dynamics 365 with other critical enterprise systems by coordinating API management, data synchronization, and configuration optimization to ensure cohesive workflows.
Continuous Improvement and Release Coordination
- Analyze platform metrics regularly, including capacity usage, user behavior, and performance trends, to identify improvement areas and preemptively address potential issues.
- Coordinate and oversee release and change management activities ensuring smooth deployments with minimal disruption, collaborating closely with developers and third-party vendors.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation such as operational runbooks, configuration guides, and compliance records to enable efficient knowledge transfer and audit preparedness.
To succeed, you will need
Essential Qualifications and Attributes
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a closely related technical field, or equivalent proven industry experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience managing Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments, particularly within Finance and Supply Chain domains.
- Strong proficiency in system administration, platform operation, and environment lifecycle management within complex enterprise settings.
- Practical knowledge of DevOps practices, tools, and application lifecycle strategies applied to Dynamics 365 solutions.
- Familiarity with application integration methodologies, including APIs, middleware, and data interoperability standards.
- Understanding of enterprise security frameworks with demonstrated ability to manage access controls and ensure compliance.
