Your role

 

  • Be in direct contact with our Customer Centres to support their efforts to grow our ES business. 

  • Showcase and promote ES capabilities to internal & external stake holders 

  • Actively participate in identification of and delivery of R&D initiatives with ES PCs 

  • Collaborate closely with ES PC proposals teams with a focus on PNB, SAO and WXF 

  • Leverage internal relationships within GECIA (e.g. graphics, simulation, etc.) 

  • Build and maintain strong internal relationships with Standard Marketing and Product Companies. 

  • Willingness to occasionally travel abroad for training Customer Centers and meeting customers. 

  • Perform Ad-hoc activities at the discretion of the Product Manager, EngineeredSolutions. 

  • This role includes two primary areas of focus: 

    • Support the Customer Centers with training, technical data, and tools 

    • Provide support (bidding strategy, budget proposals) for Customer Centres focused on Project Selling to EPCs, Contractors, and demanding End-Users. 

Support focus: 

  • Conduct trainings virtually and in-person, to Customer Centre sales, marketing, and applications teams. 

  • Create and deliver training materials for external audiences (e.g. EPC’s, end-users) 

  • Answer all relevant questions in a swift and professional manner. 

  • Serve as a techno-commercial expert for Modular platform solutions. 

  • Support the development of quoting and selection tools. 

  • Support the Product Manager in preparing product launches. 

  • Ensure all necessary sales materials are up to date and available via the relevant platforms 

Proposals focus: 

  • Provide guidance on bidding strategy, participate in Bidding Strategy Meetings. 

  • Prepare budgetary proposals for early-bidding stage projects (Concept, Feasibility, FEED study). 

  • Provide input and maintenance of comments and exceptions resources. 

  • Track quotation activity, Win/Loss hitrate, and perform Lost Order Analysis.  

  • Maintain project reference lists (PTR). 

To succeed, you will need

Experience & Knowledge requirements 

  • University degree in Engineering/Technology (Mechanical / Electrical or Instrumentation) 

  • 3 to 7 years of experience in Proposals/Application/Sales/Marketing  

  • Sound knowledge of Atlas Copco Oil free air product range 

  • Hands on experience in Energy & petrochemicals; offshore & Hazardous area applications 

  • Sound Knowledge of Engineering deliverables like P&ID, GA, Layouts, Installation, System architect Electrical Equipment drawings, Instrumentation & Control drawings/documents etc. 

  • Sound knowledge of international codes and standards from API, ASME, ISO, and PED 

  • Knowledge of pressure vessels and heat exchanger selection is an added advantage
