Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer,You will report to The Manager Engineered Solutions.

You will be responsible for -

• To develop products as per the customer requirements against the committed time, cost and quality requirements.
• Releasing all engineering drawings and specifications through system.
• Analyze the critical components of the machine and draw the specifications in design phase.
• Work with Proposal engineer to give insights on criticalities to build time and cost estimations
• Make sure the design of components, drawings and bill of material is correct before release for next phase – Concept “Right for me” / First time right
• Design must take in account the Manufacturing constrains, like by using Poka-Yoke to avoid wrong assembly.
• Coordinate with the Suppliers on ES related part developments and supplies.
• Monitor the Assembly Technicians and Contractors during the building up of the ES Unit Assemblies.
• Coordinate with Customer Centre on project updates, Customer specific documentation, Inspection/Test witness.
• Promote ideas for continuous improvement & innovation

• Identify and deploy the technical skill sets and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required.
• Participate in risk assessment processes and tasks in the department
• Ensure compliance with Atlas Copco Business Code of Practice.

To succeed, you will need

Experience/Knowledge requirements

• Mechanical Engineer,effective leader with >2 years of design and development compressor parts and compressor system.
• Technical knowledge on compressor, diesel engines, electric motor, cooler, electric panel, castings, machining, forging is a must, including all related norms / regulations.
• Good Understanding of package Assembly
• Good understanding of the supplier fabrication processes, and of the Lean assembly concept, able to design according to manufacturing constrains, like with Poka-Yoke.
• Very good know-how of the industrial business sector, and market technology trends
• Knowledge Quality concept (DFMEA), and Safety requirements
• Fluent in English
• Use of IT tools like CAD, Inventor, Creo,  Windchill, SAP Project Module, MS-Excel, MS-Project, SharePoint

Educational requirements-

• Technical qualification or experience of working in a technical environment
• University Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent

Option 1: On-Site
