Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer

Your role
- Responsibilities include monitoring and improving engineering team KPI’s including quality cost, applied hours, project costs, and on-time engineering releases of parts, BOM and documents.
- Responsible for technical aspects of assigned projects. Technical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Issue and maintain the project specific Schedule & progress in a timely fashion.
- Perform engineering calculations required to ensure the safe and successful operation of Vacuum Pump Packages
- Review of P&IDs, GA Drawings & other design documents
- Prepare RFQs, drawings/datasheets & approvals of bought-out items involved in the package.
- Provide robust technical assistance to the Project Engineering Team Lead to ensure customers are properly supported during order execution. Attend customer meetings as required.
- Prompt communication with the Project Engineering Team Lead & Manager on any issues that may potentially impact the project cost, quality, or delivery.
- Coordinate design interfaces with the appropriate Core Engineering Team to ensure a cohesive design result.
- Conduct design review meetings to ensure the completeness and the accuracy of engineering deliverables and ensure designs comply with relevant work instructions. Subject experts and specialists are to be consulted and/or included where appropriate.
- Continuously strive to improve the engineering process an eliminate sources of error or delays.
- Maintain accurate and accessible project records, which conform to quality procedures.
- Travel, including international travel, is required as per project requirement.
- Comply with Safety Rules, Regulations and OSHA Requirements
To succeed, you will need
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical from an accredited college or university
- 8+ years’ experience working in an engineering & project execution environment.
- Working knowledge of Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps & Dry Vacuum Pumps & Packages and related technical specifications or Equivalent Rotating Equipment Packages like centrifugal Pumps, compressors, Steam Turbines etc.
- Sound knowledge of Static Equipment’s like Heat Exchangers, Pressure Vessels, Filters etc.
- Sound knowledge of Centrifugal pumps with API seal plans & Screw Pumps, Electric Motors, Couplings etc.
- Sound Knowledge of Instruments (Gauges & Transmitters), Control Valves, On-Off Valves
- Sound Knowledge of Piping & piping items like fittings, flanges etc., Manual Valves, Strainers, Flow Indicators, Safety Valves etc.
- Basic Knowledge of Quality documents like Inspection & Test Plans, NDEs etc.
- Knowledge of Codes & Standards like API, ASME, ASTM etc.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills including communication, teamwork, and ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
