Your Role
You will be responsible for leading the implementation, rollout, and long‑term adoption of Planisware as the strategic Project & Portfolio Management (PPM) platform across multiple divisions of Atlas Copco.
The role ensures a smooth transition from Project Online to Planisware, delivery of program objectives within defined timelines, and establishment of a sustainable governance and operating model for Planisware post go‑live.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Program & Project Management
Lead the end‑to‑end Planisware Program, covering configuration, rollout, migration, adoption, and stabilization phases.
Drive successful delivery of program milestones, ensuring tangible business value and timely readiness before Project Online decommissioning.
Develop, maintain, and present program roadmaps, business cases, and phased implementation plans, aligning objectives, benefits, risks, costs, and resources with Atlas Copco standards.
Ensure minimum viable scope for go‑live, while managing a structured roadmap for post‑go‑live enhancements.
Lead change adoption activities to ensure smooth transition from legacy tools to Planisware.
2. Stakeholder & Governance Management
Act as the primary interface between divisions, divisional key users, business controllers, IT, and external partners.Ensure that divisional stakeholders remain in control of strategic direction, priorities, and key decisions throughout the program lifecycle.
Establish and enforce program governance, including decision forums, escalation paths, and approval mechanisms.
Provide structured and transparent updates to the Program Steering Committee, covering progress, risks, dependencies, and mitigation actions.
3. Team Leadership & Cross‑Functional Coordination
Lead a cross‑functional program team consisting of internal team members, divisional key users, and external consultants.Foster collaboration across geographically and culturally diverse teams.
Address resistance, ambiguity, and change fatigue through structured communication and strong leadership.
Enable knowledge transfer and capability building within the internal team to support long‑term ownership of Planisware.
4. Functional & Technical Ownership (Planisware)
Own the functional alignment of Planisware with Atlas Copco project management methodologies, governance models, and reporting needs.Translate business requirements into configurable Planisware solutions, ensuring alignment with standard SaaS capabilities and avoiding unnecessary customisation.
Ensure alignment across divisions while allowing controlled flexibility where required.
Oversee data migration from Project Online, including validation, data quality checks, and user hand‑holding.
5. Change Management, Training & Adoption
Drive change management strategy for Planisware adoption across divisions.Oversee creation of training material, FAQs, user guides, and onboarding content.
Lead “Train‑the‑Trainer” approach and ensure readiness of key users and support teams.
Monitor adoption, usability feedback, and continuous improvement opportunities post go‑live.
6. Vendor, Partner & Budget Management
Manage collaboration with Planisware and implementation partners, ensuring clear expectations, structured delivery, and effective communication.Monitor and control the program budget, ensuring transparency, alignment with scope, and timely escalation of budget risks or change requests.
Ensure contractual deliverables and service expectations are met.
To succeed, you will need
Experience & Skill Requirements
Educational RequirementsBE / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation / Computer EngineeringMinimum 6-8 years of experience in leading and executing large‑scale digital transformation or PPM / enterprise application programs
Professional Experience
Proven experience in leading complex, cross‑divisional programs delivering enterprise tools or platforms.
Strong background in PPM tools, project governance, or engineering project environments.
Experience in tool transition or legacy system replacement programs is a strong advantage.
Demonstrated ability to lead change adoption, stakeholder alignment, and governance-heavy initiatives.
Experience working with external vendors / SaaS partners in a structured delivery model.
Strong exposure to SteerCo reporting, executive communication, and decision facilitation.
Software & Tool Knowledge
Hands‑on experience or strong exposure to Planisware or similar PPM / ERP / SaaS platforms is highly desirable.Prior experience with Microsoft Project Online / Project Server, SharePoint, Power BI, or similar platforms is an advantage.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for executive reporting and documentation.
