Your role
The Role
As a Project Manager, you will spearhead Product company level projects from GECIA, with primary goal of overseeing and driving initiatives that enhance the PC/CC’s efficiency and effectiveness. This covers projects from all divisions related to specific PC/CC. The Project Manager will single-handedly lead GECIA's cross functional teams, collaborating with PC/CC/suppliers team, serving as the project’s sole point of contact. This includes representing the project status at executive steerco meetings, PCM and maintaining/providing periodic progress updates.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating project plan including milestones
- Lead and coordinate project planning, execution and overall management- Conduct periodic project reviews to ensure alignment with objectives and milestone
- Monitor project deliveries and maintain effective communication with stakeholders
- Manage project budgets and assess associated risk
- Maintain detailed and organized project documentation and record
- Travel to customer and sub-vendor locations as required
- Ensure proper review and processing of variations and claims
- Align with PC/CC Stakeholders for their 3-Year Full Potential Plan and identify the areas & Projects where GECIA can act as an enabler.
- Align with GECIA SDHs/TLs to see if any specific competence/Technology development Project can benefit the concerned PC/CC.

Key expectations
Strong sense of business acumen e.g. taps every single opportunity at PC level which is today a conventional way of doing & may have futuristic non-conventional/innovative way of solutions that will bring value-based solutions.
Thinking out of the box & adapting to new technology-based solutions e.g. is there a better way to do this? Is there new technology in the market to do this?
Must hold the entrepreneur’s mindset e.g. to seek new solutions, instead of starting work by self, asking Gecia competence teams to work on & bring new proposal on table.
Strong sense of People management skills e.g. if it feels like not moving the things as expected, should know whom to connect, how to present and influence to get the buying to have push of teams to make things move forward (keep everyone align to focus on full potential projects
PC level meetings experience e.g. active participation in PCM
Regularly report to GECIA & PC Management Team on the Progress of such Full Potential Projects. Identify and raise red flags, if any.
Project planning, budgeting and management expertise
Strong communication and leadership mindset
Customer-focused with a results-driven attitude
Experience requirements
Candidates need at least 10+ years of managing multidisciplinary projects, preferably in a Product Company environment. Collaboration Experience with Gecia competence teams / CC / Vendors is a plus. Proficiency in PC/CC processes, product knowledge, manufacturing processes, evolving new technologies, Reverse engineering knowledge, , Concept to product processes
Qualification
Education: MTech/M.E./BTech / B.E. in Mechanical/equivalent
