Your Role
Roles and Responsibilities:
Data Engineering & Reporting:
- Design & Development: Develop and maintain data pipelines and analytical reports by extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from primary sources, including SAP data and other relevant systems.
- Analytics Reports: Prepare and deliver a diverse set of engineered-solutions analytics reports using tools like Power BI to provide actionable insights to the business.
- Technical Stack Expertise: Utilize deep, hands-on knowledge of SAP, SQL, and Databricks to ensure efficient data handling and accurate report generation.
Business Alignment & Knowledge Transfer:
- Business Understanding: Act as the dedicated point of contact to understand and interpret complex business requirements from Engineered Solutions.
- Knowledge Transfer: Actively participate in the transfer of knowledge to establish a strong technical and business backup within the GECIA team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the GITH-DA team (Intelligence Hub) and the IT team to ensure alignment on data standards, infrastructure, and security protocols.
Data Governance & Security:
- Data Sensitivity: Ensure the highest standards of data security and governance when handling commercial and business-sensitive data.
- Compliance: Adhere to all Atlas Copco policies and best practices related to data privacy and security.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Educational Background: Computer Science Engineering qualification (B.E. or B. Tech or MTech) from a reputed university, or equivalent experience.
- Core Data Technologies (MUST HAVE):
- Expertise in SQL for complex querying, data manipulation, and optimization.
- Strong, hands-on experience with Databricks (or similar cloud-based big data platforms).
- Proficiency in SAP data structure and extraction methods (e.g., knowledge of SAP modules/tables relevant to engineering/logistics).
- Visualization/Reporting: Proven experience with Power BI for developing dashboards and self-service analytics models.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn complex data into clear, compelling business narratives.
- Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp and align technical work with business requirements, particularly in an engineering or manufacturing context.
- Professional Maturity: Proven experience handling sensitive commercial data and working with key stakeholders.
