Your role

As a Product Design Engineer, your mission is to drive innovation and excellence in developing and refining products, components, equipment, systems, technologies, and processes, while embedding sustainability into our product design by committing to science-based targets and ensuring our products serve this mission. Reporting to [add hiring manager title], you will be at the heart of groundbreaking engineering projects.

You will 

  • Ensure our research and design methodologies meet the highest scientific and engineering standards. 
  • Assist in formulating business plans and budgets to develop our product further. 
  • Analyze quality and safety test results to guarantee compliance with both internal and external standards. 
  • Stay ahead of industry developments and transform them into cutting-edge solutions for our customers.
  • Deliver compelling technical presentations.

To succeed, you will need

Qualifications

  • A university degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, paired with 4 to 7 years of practical experience in product design engineering.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, to effectively collaborate across diverse teams and present technical material.

Core Skills

  • Strong technical competency in engineering principles, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
  • Experience and knowledge related to fabrication methods, sheet metal work, and rotating machinery.
  • Familiarity with new product development (NPD) processes and continuous improvement initiatives within engineering organizations.
  • Ability to interpret and utilize engineering documentation such as P&ID, general arrangement drawings, and layout plans.
  • Competence with CAD software including Inventor, Creo, and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools like Vault and Windchill.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), welding techniques, and surface treatments.
  • Knowledge of heavy fabrication, canopy design, flexible hose configurations, compressors, generators, and pumps is advantageous.
