The Role
Mission
As a member of an engineering team, the engineer contributes to the development of products.
The development must be done in accordance with the applicable procedures and ensure compliance with the main specification requirements in all aspects (product functionality and quality, development timing & cost, execution costs). Within this mission, the engineer will apply his / her creativity to achieve an innovative and quality design.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Project Design
- Understand the scope of work for New Product Development.
- Taking the lead in planning and estimating the work.
- Conduct a feasibility study and design the manufacturing and engineering drawings as per requirements. Solving technical queries of subordinates and working as a Design Expert.
- Conducting design reviews of 3D models and 2D drawings.
- Design of Industrial Products includes –
- Design of Tooling, Fixtures.
- Design of Tightening tools, Nutrunner.
- Design of supports, brackets, plastic parts, etc.
- Design for manufacturing and assembly.
- Design considering accessibility for service and ease of assembly.
- Expert in 3D solid modeling and sheet metal module.
- Expert in part drawings and assembly drawings.
- Expert in Bill of materials and engineering change requests, drawing revisions.
- Expert in detailing drawings.
Project Execution and review
- Review design and check for adherence to safety and quality standards as per defined international and Atlas Copco standards.
- Develop status reports and monitor and control the progress of a project.
- Participate in daily and weekly project team meetings to present status reports and clarify queries.
- To work on additional work assigned by a senior team member as and when required.
- Filling timesheets daily and keeping records of checked drawings.
- Ability to keep a record of all communication related to the project according to std. procedure defined.

What we expect of you?
Experience requirements
- 4+ years experience in the design domain.
Educational requirements
- University degree in Engineering/Technology (Mechanical\Electromechanical)
- Fluent in English
- French Language is an advantage
Knowledge
- Sound knowledge and experience in tooling, Fixture Design, Plastic design, SPM, Fabrication, and sheet metal.
- Able to read & understand P&ID, GA, Layouts etc
- Working knowledge of Creo 7, MS office
- Working knowledge of Windchill.
- Knowledge of Tightening tools, Nutrunner is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge and experience of any PLM/ ERP system
- Material selection knowledge.
- Knowledge of the Manufacturing process.
- Basics of electrical knowledge can be advantageous.
- Good Command (Verbal & Written) of English is a must
- Able to work under pressure & plan & organize effectively with the right sense of urgency
- Able to work on multiple projects by giving due importance to each project
- Strong interpersonal communication
