As a Senior Engineer/ Assistant Manager Methods, You will report to Manager Flow Team.
You will be responsible for -
- Optimize operator performance by Continuous improvement & innovation.
- Organize time and motion study activities to arrive at correct routing hours.
- Make regular Line balancing to adjust the workload according to the Product Mix, but also according to various potential daily volume needs to avoid Operator variance.
- Minimize balancing losses to less than 5% on each line.
- Optimize the operator workstation & the flow process, being Flexible (like DC tools), reducing the Throughput time, and FMEA proven, resulting in efficiency gain.
- Analyse issues & generate ideas of improvement from all employees, like with the use of Visual Kaizen Board.
- Take active part in implementing the DN (Design Notification) for smooth phase in & phase out of the parts ensuring minimum scrap and zero disruptions on the production line(for shorter Time2Market.
- Key member in NPD (New product development) in coordination with Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality Departments to ensure smooth serial production of new product on line.
- Create best practices by formalizing the Assembly knowledge
- Active participation in suggestions for the design of fixtures, assembly tooling and infrastructure to improve efficiencies along with operators.
- Identify and work closely with suppliers in the design of special tooling for manufacturing.
- Trolleys & Equipment preventive Maintenance & Calibration schedules
To succeed, you will need
Experience / Educational requirements
- B. E. Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineer with 5+ years of experience
- Candidate with MBA would be preferred
- Technical knowledge on compressor assembly & parts is a plus.
- Expert in Lean Manufacturing concept (5OK), knows in details the Supply chain processes, and is able to make Line Balancing.
- Knowledge of Quality concept (FMEA, FTR, 6 Sigma…), Safety and IMS.
- Project Management proven record, like implementation of a new line, or assembly set up.
- Exposure to International business environment & Large manufacturing company
- Fluent in English
- Use of IT tools like ERP (BPCS), MES, AVIX, MS-Excel, MS-Project, SharePoint
- Basic IT Knowledge of hardware and software used in manufacturing environment is must. Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and digitalization practices is an added advantage
