Digital Technology Practice at GECIA (Global Engineering Centre, India), part of Atlas Copco, is contributing significantly to vision of the Group by focusing on developing global talent, expanding portfolio and competence on futuristic competencies, driving Innovation and achieving operational excellence to drive.

Join us as a Senior UI/UX Designer within our Apps & Software Development team, based out of Pune to deliver end-to-end customized application development.

We expect you to participate & contribute to every stage of project right from interacting with internal customers/stakeholders, understanding their requirements, and proposing them the solutions which will be best fit to their expectations.

You will be part of local team working from Atlas Copco, Pune office but you will have chance to be part of Global Projects delivery with the possibility of working On-site (Belgium) if required.

You will be most important member of highly motivated Application development team to deliver “first time right” application delivery.

 

Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle, from ideation to final delivery.
    • Translate business requirements and user needs into wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs.
    • Design engaging, responsive, and accessible user interfaces for both web and mobile platforms (iOS and Android).
    • Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and reusable components in Figma.
    • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to continuously improve design solutions.
    • Align design decisions with product goals and user needs, ensuring a seamless and consistent user experience.
    • Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

 
To succeed, you will need  

Educational Requirement

  • Master’s degree in Arts & Graphic Design or equivalent

Experience Requirement

Overall you have minimum 3–5 years of professional UI/UX design experience, with proven contributions to end-to-end product development.

Required Skills

  • Strong portfolio showcasing web and mobile application design.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma – including prototyping, components, auto-layouts, and design systems.
  • Solid understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and responsive design best practices.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and user-centered design methodologies.
  • Experience working closely with product and engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Exposure to tools like FigJam, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/JS) to bridge design and development.
  • Experience with analytics tools or user research platforms.
  • Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced product-driven environment.
